Oh also we are tryiong finger foods like cooked Broccolli and today we tried Kiwi Fruit, admitidly it makes more mess than being eaten but it is great for fine motor skills and she is tasting it. I highly suggest finger foods now just watch for choke hazzards, we are going to try bananna pieces tomorrow!

If your in Australia there is an Organic baby food for sale at woolworths and Coles called Rafferties Garden, My baby girl loves them, her favourite is the sweet potato and pumpkin mix, she has also eaten the spinich peas brocolli and apple mix and tonight we tried beef and vegie puree which she devoured a whole sachet of! Good Luck!

Yep, I make my own baby food and meat can actually be started as a stage 2 food. My daughter loves turkey and chicken (those are the only 2 we've tried). I puree them and mix them with pureed peas or green beans; basically the veggies she won't eat plain. It's worked well for me, but make sure your baby is ready for stage 2 (thicker purees with mixed ingredients). Hope this helps.

I had this same problem, too. My daughter would only eat sweet foods (although that included squash and sweet potato luckily). She even gagged on anything green. But once we started her on meat (which she loved right away), she lost her taste for the super sweet stuff like pears. Babies tastes can change so quickly, just keep trying things, and mixing items like the other moms suggested. If he doesn't like something this week after trying all the mixing techniques, try it again in another week or two.

you could try a jar of pumpkin and pear jar food. it tastes like pumpkin pie...the pear makes it a little sweet and we found it was a really good transition to veggies. my son HATES green beans so I give him something with it that he really likes (like sweet potato) and he eats it better. also, i found out that (if you have time) if you make the veggies yourself they are naturally sweeter than the jar food. my son LOVES avocado and squash puree...who would've thought! good luck with your little one!

I mixed the veggies in with his cereal to lighten the flavor a bit. There are also sweeter veggies to try. I also mix some apple juice in with the veggie cereal mix. Good luck.

I was having the same problem and I even introduced the veggies first. I baby food recipe book I have also suggested mixing veggies with fruit and then slowly decrease the amount of fruit in them. Carrots, squash and sweet potatoes go really well with apples and pears. My son now eats all three of those veggies.

The sweet potatoes and squash are pretty sweet. I tasted them. I would keep trying with those. Make a big deal about him taking a bite. I am sure you have probably tried that already though.

Could you try mixing it. Maybe some sweet potatoes with apples or squash with some banannas. A lot of times the taste of the fruit will overpower the taste of the veggie and then start lessening the amount of fruit you mix in with it until he's eating just veggie.

Haha I have experience with this one! My son Seth, would eat veggies at daycare but not for me at home! So I went to daycare and this is what she told me to do and it worked!
Mix one jar of baby food (I use the level 2 kind, it's a 4 oz. jar I think) with 3 teaspoons of cereal and 3 of water. Now if water doesn't work, he still won't eat it, she told me that sometimes she puts in the Apple Prune juice in place of water, it gives it a sweet taste but the nutrition of the greens is still there.
If 3 tsp of liquid isn't enough you can add a little more, it depends on what he is used to having. More solid or more liquidy. But don't stress if he doesn't eat it, try sweet potatoes and squash and things like that. Also I have found that if I feed Seth a full bottle and wait about an hour, he is happy during that time and is more likely eat the food! I hope this helps you dear!

what you could do is make a spoonful of half of each or a little more of the fruit and see if he will take it that way. and just keep trying he may not like it now but could later.
