Hi everyone,

Welcome to the August 2008 Babies community, where we chat about our August 2008 children and whatever else is on our minds!

To get things started, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves in this thread, which will be pinned to the community home page. Whether you're a Circle of Moms veteran or you're new to the site, let us know who you are, what you’re interested in, and what your lovely August 2008 child is up to right now, developmentally speaking!

I think this is a great idea! Thank you.

At the time of this post I am new to circle of Moms. I just recently moved from Missoula, Montana to Tokyo, Japan. Neither my husband or I are Japanese and we also don't speak Japanese. So, life is interesting to say the least. I will probably be on this site a lot b/c I don't have a circle of Moms here in Japan.

I have an 18 month old girl named Willa. She is kind of short and heavy for her age and she does not talk at all really. She only says "yum yum" and "Ball!" She doesn't even say Mama or Dada reliably. Usually Da Da simply means "look at that!" or "I want that."

I try not to worry too much about it.

Hopefully she will grow up bilingual and teach me Japanese!

I'm sure she won't tell me that a sign says "give me nothing but cookies" when the sign really says "closed on weekends" or something like that, lol! :)

I am Amanda. I am 29 and live in East Texas. My husband and I have been married nearly 7 years and had our first child on 08/16/2008. Our little boy, Cameron, was 7 lbs 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He now stands 32" and weighs 25 lbs. I work for in the healthcare field full-time and go to school full-time as well. I hope to graduate May 2010. Thankfully we have family living close by and Cameron goes to my mom's house instead of daycare but it is still hard to leave him in the mornings. He started walking shortly before his first birthday and talks up a storm. We definately stay on our toes with him.

Hi moms! I am Silma, 27 years old, i'm living in jakarta indonesia. Im not working now to look after my baby girl. My baby girl was born on 21th of August.her name is Denise Aisya Djajasuminta. Denise is everything for me and my husband. she's such an angel, well naughty little angel maybe,hehe.. She started walking at 12 months several day after her birthday.. Now she just wants to walk by herself. She can say Ayah (daddy), cucu (milk), tuttel (turtle), aom (sound of tiger), tutup(close) dada, tata. She can do hi five, blow kisses, peek-a-boo, wave hands to say bye, raise hands to say hi, if you ask for a kiss she will kiss you, when we pray together she say "amin", when she wants something...she will extend her hands. Everyday I am excited to see what new thing she got for me. and everyday i'm also excited to know a new thing that i can learn from her..

My Name is Alba. I am 34 yrs old and a SAHM. I have one son, Jess who will soon be 18 months and a expecting a little girl in May. New to Circle of Moms. My insterests have flew out the door since Jess came into our lives, but I wouldn't have it any other way. At the moment Jess is trying to climb over anything he can. I took him to a free trial at lyttle gym (all the stuff is padded so there is less of a chance for a serious injury) but it did not go as expected. He cried for the 1st 45 min of class then during the last 15 minutes (ball and bubble time) he was over it. He is usually very social and friendly so not sure why he reacted that way. right now I am trying to get him out as much as I can (book readings at library, park, play gyms etc.) before the baby is born. We have done some play dates/groups in the past but \we've had a lot of appointments medical and other that it was hard to make the dates. He likes TV but to our fortune will not watch more than 5 minutes worth as he likes to play. I try to play 1 hr of his favorite shows and then we trun off the TV and move on to other activities. He enjoys, Yo Gabba Gabba, Curious George, Mickey Mouse Playhouse, Blues Clues and Sesame Street. He loves music and will start to dance if he hears a tune he likes. He has not yet been able to master eating on his own with utensils. If I scoop the food for him he can manage to get the food in his mouth but can not get the foo on the spoon/fork on his own. Loves to pretend to talk on the phone (to Daddy) and empty out my kitchen drawers.

She is truly a blessing, everything about her brings joy into our lives! We are both military and currently we are stationed in Virginia but that is about to change shortly because we will be moving to Japan for 3 years. When my husband is gone on deployments Lacey is what keeps me sane and from being lonely!

Hi!

My name is Elizabeth I am 23 years old . I want to be a stay at home mom but finacially can't afford it. My daughter is Alana and she was born on 08/29/08 she was 7lb 12oz and 20" long. She is perfectly developing the only thing is she is still not talking. Though she can make the sounds for mama and dada and any other sounds she thinks of but no actual works just a lot of screams when she wants something. I do have an older boy with some type of autism or other special needs (we are getting him tested soon)

I wouldn't change my kids for anything!

Hi everybody!

I have been member of this group for some time, but I don't know if I have ever introduced myself :)

My name is Satu (it's Finnish and it means fairytale) and I'm now 33 years. I'm mother of four. My older daughter (Iida) is now 9 and my sons (Lauri and Onni)are 7 and 4 years. My August 2008 baby, Aino (name comes for Finnish word ainoa, that means "the only one"... yeah right!), was born in the 26th. If it's up to me (or my husband) she will be our last one :)

I am originally from Finland but last three years we have been living in California. My husband came here to work and I have a full time work at home with my beloved horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Aino is tiny girl with huge ego. She don't have so many words yet, Finnish is probably one of the most difficult languages in the world... she used to call me "äiti" (Finnish word for Mother), but after listening her siblings who use both English and Finnish, she is now calling me "Mommy", her other words are isi (Finnish "Daddy"), jelly beans :D, joo (Finnish "yes") and Hi! She is interested in legos, shoes, music and belly dancing... last one because both I and my oldest take belly dance lessons and Aino is always with us in her sister's lesson. She will probably some day have a perfect belly roll, because she sees me practicing it every day :)

Hi!! Im Jennifer. Im from Long Island, NY. Ive been happily married to my high school sweet heart for 10 years. We have 3 beautiful children...7 year old Jacob, 3 year old Noah, and my August baby, Emily, who is 17 months. Since boys run in the family, and there hasnt been a girl born into our family in several generations, we were surprised to find out baby #3 was going to be a girl!! My kids do keep me on my toes! My oldest son was diagnosed with ADHD last year, and is now doing great in school. My middle child, Noah, had a bit of a rough start his first year of life. He was in and out of the hospital a few times for going into respiratory distress, including one ER visit where he was admitted directly into the PICU. After many days in the hospital, and more tests than i care to remember, he was found to have tracheomalacia, broncheomalacia, phrenic nerve paralysis, his right hemidiaphragm persistantly elevated and immobilized, and a hypoplastic right lung. While this does put him at risk for recurrent pneumonia and some other things, he is currently doing well. Surgery is an option for the future, but since he is so young and still doing well, we are holding off on that as long as we can. Emily is doing very well healthwise. She did go thru a few rough months in the beginning with GERD and a severe dairy allergy. She currently receives feeding therapy and has made soooo much progress that she is just about back at age level with her feeding skills. She is fine in every other area. With the exception of the feeding, she hit all her other milestones right on time. She walks, runs, climbs. She has a vocabulary of a few words now- mommy, daddy, Jake, molly (our dog), shoe, sock, blanket, cici (paci), cracker, and her latest is pancake! With two older brothers, she's no wallflower lol. She loves to jump right in to the action alongside her brothers. Even though i dress her all cute and girly, i have a feeling in a few years she is going to want only jeans and baseball caps, tagging along with her brothers ha!! Emily is very sweet, loves to gives hugs, kisses and cuddles. She can also be incredibly stubborn when the mood strikes her! Hmm, what else can i say about myself? Im a little "crunchy" i guess. We cloth diaper and co-sleep, and i did often "wear" my babies until they got too heavy for my back!! I do try to feed my kids organic foods, as my budget allows, but at the same time, i dont get crazy over it. I just try to do the best i can for them, one day at a time :)

Im glad i found this group, its always nice to meet others with kids!

My August baby is almost 18 months. It makes me want to cry. He is walking and talking a little bit. He is so short and small I just really can't believe that he is that old. He weighs 20lbs. Haley and Trenton weighed in the 30's when they were almost two.Not really that much. He is petite and I like that since this is the last child that I am going to have. He walks really good. Talking not so much. I am not really worried about it though because his older brother didn't talk until he was a little over two. He talked just only around 5=6 words. So I am not worried when he is ready he will talk. He can say about 10 words he just doesn't talk. He is saving that beautiful voice to tattle on his brother and sister is what I tell my husband.

hi, I'm Ries, 42 yr old mum of six, and nurse, and my August 08 baby is Erienne. (younger borther is getting all the attention so it's nice to talk about her!) She has been early at every thing, as in, walking around the furniture at 5 months.. yes you read right! and teeth at 4 months. she has benign myoclonic epilepsy of infancy and our pediatrition said we had to remove all furniture she could walk on as it was less dangerous to fall into a fit from a crawl than standing...hah.. so we got home, removed everything, and all 6 of us (at the time) started crawling around the house for 24 hours as well.... it worked and our super bright princess started to crawl the next day. we held her off until she was 9 months, and she has been walking ever since. no more fits either! She is a bit slow on the language, (all the others have been early talkers so i'm not really sure..) but is really obedient and understands everything we say, even complicated instructions. She sings perfectly in tune to the veggie tales videos the other kids watch. (not surprising we are all muso's and I used to sing opera) the paed calls her 'precocious' in the medical sence and refuses to medicate her saying she is too unusual, but we agree. she also has grade three kidney reflux and iron deficiency anaemia, so is very pale. but she is healthy, hates meat and only wants fish or canned tuna? go figure!

She was very tomboyish before the baby like her older siblings, but now Jonah her 13 week old brother is here, she has been very sweet and girly. She is a carbon copy of her sister in looks (15 year old) and we adore her for her sweet nature. i went back to work when she was 10 weeks leaving her with a friend, until I was able to rearrange our mortgage. but no 6 came along, really because we wanted another little her! so i have been on maternity leave since she was one and plan to stay this way as long as possible. but we are stuggling a bit with 6 kids, school fees, food, and one minimum wage, I really want to be here, but will probably work at least one day after June on night duty again. ps I am in South Australia. thankfully Jonah shows no signs of either crawling, sitting or standing and may be a baby forever!

Hi my name is Devinn. I just joined COM yesterday and I am already in love with it. I am almost 27 yrs old and a stay at home mom, partially by choice but mostly because we don't have anyone around here that could babysit and daycare would eat all of my income. I think about going back to work a lot. I know it would help if we had a little more income, but until I can get a better paying job, there's just no point. I love my kids with all my heart, but it isn't easy being cooped up in the house all day everyday.

I have two of my own children and a stepson. Austin is 5 and in Kindergarten and is a very difficult child to raise. He's had a hard life for someone so young, but dispite everything he is still full of love. He just forgets to express it every once in a while. his mom is pretty much no longer in the picture. I mean he still has contact with her but only if she is forced into it and half the time he refuses to talk to her. I try to help him by letting him know that I am here for him, but I can't and would not replace his mother. But I love him and I hope he knows that. My son, Jake is the August baby (8/11/08) and my first. He had a hard time coming into the world, but he is definately filled with life now. He was a week late and the doctors tried to induce me. 24 hours later, I wasn't dilating and he was losing oxygen levels so they cut me open. They still had to use a vacuum on him though and he had a nasty bump on his head for quite a few months after that. Thankfully his pediatrician was right and it did eventually go away. He is now 17 months old and growing like a weed. He was 9 lbs, 1 oz at birth and at his 15 month check up he was 26 lbs and 30 in. He crawled at 5 months and started walking at 9 months, on his own by 10 months and loves to dance. Talking isn't going as well. He can say mama and da(dad) , i done, dog, cup, down, "i got it", ball, bottle, bye, hi, "don't do that' (I wonder where he learned that) and some other things that I am drawing a blank on right now. He also signs cup, cracker, more, which he uses for hungry, candy, and all done. We're still working on please, thank you, eat, and his different foods he likes, but he's picking them up quickly. Only took him a couple mins to learn candy and used it the next day on christmas to ask for candy from his stocking. I was amazed. The only problem is now he thinks he can have it every time he uses it. (thanks Auntie) He's not an extremely affectionate kid, which breaks my heart, but it just makes the kisses even more special. He's too busy for all that, mom. He is extremely active and is getting more destructive. I'm hoping he will get out of this stage a little quicker than his brother whose still in the destructive stage. Everybody keeps telling me it's a boy thing. I hope not.

And my baby of the family, Kyleah(Kylee). She is 6 months old now and is just starting to crawl and sit up. She's my chunkers. She's not overweight or anything. In fact her pediatrician loves to tell us ours kids are "proportionate" with his asian accent. I don't know why but it always cracks me up. I love hearing the diversity of languages. Any way she was three weeks early (7/11/09) and yes if you are doing the math, they are exactly 11 months apart almost to the hour. I can't belive how fast she is growing but she doesn't have any teeth yet which baffles me. I know they don't normally until about now but Jake has almost all of his teeth already. Just waiting for his i teeth to fully come in. Kyleah is my cuddle bug. She loves to just sit with you and watch tv. The babies are already so different from each other that it just makes me so excited to see how her personality progresses. And believe me she will not put up with her brothers' sh** either. She definately lets us know when they are getting too rough. The boys absolutely adore her and I love to watch them all interact, especially the two younger ones because they can't communicate verbally yet so you have to watch and decipher what they are thinking. and when Austin gets them laughing it just makes me feel like everything is going to be ok.

Hi! I'm Nikki. I'm 24 years old and I have a 17 month old boy Braylon. We call him B for short. We live in Powell, WY. Braylon had eye surgery last month to straighten his eyes. It was an outpatient procedure that only lasted an hour but my stress about it built up for months before. He did really well except that he got the swine flu the day after. The surgery has made all the difference and now he is running around, climbing and we can see his depth perception getting better everyday. I hear "What's that?" more then I'd like somedays :) I work 2 days a week as an RN at the hospital in town. It works out well for us but I still hate leaving him on those days. I have been part of Circle of Moms for only a few months but I really enjoy all the conversations. I'm glad to be a part of this group.

Can't imagine rushing off to work and then rushing home trying to help the kids with their homework, make a good meal, etc. Let alone, trying to find someone to take care of my children if they have a sick day. So I am thankful that we manage to make it on one salary....hardly, barely, but managing. That's about it for me.

Hate that I have to be away from my boys, but I have no other choice. I love being a mom..& it totally changed my life.( For the better) I can't imagine a life w/o Nick Jr & changing diapers...giggles, games, & so much fun! My olderst son Jay was born on April 26, 2006 @ 5:05pm. He 6lbs &12 oz 19 inches long. Jayden Micah. He was the sweetest little boy ever & a spitting image of me! Now he's mean as a snake! lol, not always though. He loves to play with his cousins, being outside is the best, & did i mention a cartoon junkie?! spiderman & the backyardigans are his favorite! & he's the pickiest eater ALIVE!! As for my little man Jaren Donyell-- He was born on August 13, 2008 @ 2:47 pm. 8lbs & 12 oz 21 inches long. He LOVES to eat. I'm thinking thats his favorite past time. Definitly a "mama's boy"--He's got this whole happy go luck personality. As long as i'm right there with him he's fine. He didn't take his first steps until he was 14 months old--but now he's everywhere. He looks just like his daddy~ Very sweet child, but DEF has a temper. Well i guess thats about as much as i can tell you guys...anything else--feel free to ask. ♥

Hello, my name is Amber and I am almost 29 years old, I've been married for almost 9 years and have 4 beautiful kids! We live in a small town in Indiana. My oldest, Hannah, is 6. Her birthdate is 11-06-03 & she weighed 6lbs 6ozs. Emily, who is 16 months younger, was born 3-02-05 so she will be 5 soon & she weighed 6lbs 3ozs. Elisabeth is 2 yrs younger than Emily & was also born in March. Her birthdate is 3-30-07 so she will be 3 this year. She weighed 6lbs. Matthew is my youngest for now. He is 16 months younger than Elisabeth & he was born on 8-05-08 so he will be turning 2 this year! He weighed a whopping 5lbs 7ozs! All of them were full term! We didn't plan on having our kids this close together, but it has been wonderful! I would LOVE to have one or two more kids! My oldest daughter has chronic styes in & on her eye lids & has had surgery once for this (last year). My next to the oldest doesn't have any big issues. A little exzema from time to time. My youngest daughter was hospitalized at 6 months because she simply didn't grow. She grew EXTREMELY SLOW. At 6 months, she weighed 8 1/2 lbs! Amazingly enough, she ate like a pig & the doctors never labeled her failure to thrive & never found anything wrong with her! Now, at 3, she weighs around 22 or 23 lbs. Matthew was air lifted to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN last March and was diagnosed with asthma! One of the worst experiences I have faced as a mommy thus far! But, we have it under control now & I am learning alot! Children are a joy & a blessing! God has been sooooo good to us!

Hello! I am Rose. I am 28 years old and from Harrisburg, PA. My husband, Jeremy and I have been married for 5 years on Friday. Our beautiful little girl, Adrienne Rose was born on August 1, 2008 at 1:14pm. She weighed 7 pounds and 4.7 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. She cut her first tooth at 10 months and walked at 11 months. I breastfed her through her first birthday. I did supplement with formula for when she is at her Grammy's house. My mother-in-law watches her while the husband and I work. She now weighs approximately 23 pounds and is about 31 inches tall. She says ball, baba, daddy, mommy, foofy (Our word for pacifier.), doggy, clock, cookie, yummy, cuppy, Bob (for my brother and Bob the Builder), go, book, duck, quack, baby, bye-bye, truck, and probably more that I can't think of right now. She waves hi and bye. She knows where eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, belly, and tootsies are. She loves to eat almost anything, but only has 8 teeth and they are all right in the front, no molars yet. She has been the greatest gift we were even given. We are currently trying for a sibling for her.

Hi, I am Alyson from Bernville Pa! I am the mother of two wonderful children. Jordan, who is 3, and Alexis, who is August 15th! I am a stay at home mom, which is awesome. Mainly cause I barely ever miss a thing. I cannot believe how fast the little ones grow, so I am so blessed that my husband gives me the opportunity to stay home. Having two kids has been absolutely wonderful, but a little more work then I anticipated. I am loving every minute of it though. Alexis is a wonderful child. She adores her brother and he has definitely given her the encouragement to not want to be a baby for long. She is always wanting to do whatever it is that her brother is doing. She has been insisting to go on the potty here of late. Went to the extent of taking her own pants and diaper off when I was out of the room and went to her little potty herself. She peed and then came and got me to show me. I guess she is telling me that she is ready...lol I do find that she does not seem to say as many words as her brother did at this age, but she definitely seems to understand and comprehend more then he did at this age. Has anyone else found that, that is a mother of two?

So my days are full, but mostly with hugs and kisses and laughter. Both my kids definitely have the case of the giggles throughout most of the day. Although Lexi is quick to change to yelling when she doesn't think that she is being heard...lol She is most certainly my drama queen. My children are like night and day but are the best of friends. What more could a mother ask for?

I'm a 22 year old mom of a 2 yr. old girl, and a 17month boy! My husband drives a semi for our living so I'm alone all week :-( My little girl's name is Kamryn Brooke, and my little boy's name is Jamon Skyler. Jamon was 6lbs 14oz and 20in. long at birth, with no complications. As he grew I noticed he wasn't progressing in his motor skills, so when I took him to the doctor they told me he had low muscle tone and needed to see a physical therapist. Physical therapy really helped him! The only thing I'm worried about now is his weight. He weighs only 20ibs! His height is normal, and he's a really good eater.

I'm Lea Anne, an older (44) first time mom of Adra who was born Aug. 15. We live in Minneapolis with no other family here so that's been difficult. I'm a teacher and Adra goes to daycare. Sadly, I can't afford not to work but we did find a nice facility.
Adra is quite a character! Very funny and always smiling. She's been waving like she's in a parade since around 8 months. Now the added "bye bye" is very cute. She says quite a few words, which includes "agua" that she learned from a classmate. I love that!
Her new thing is testing limits! She is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Hi everyone. Im mum to Oliver, who is 16 months. (19th Aug 2008).
Oliver is my second child, he is adorable. He has a tinge of ginger in his hair when the sun hits it. He doesnt talk much but when he does he is very loud. Every one thinks he is such a sweet quite baby :P boy are they wrong he has a nasty loud set of lungs on him.

He looks strange when he is walking because he is so little still, he is currently wearing size 0 - 1. He has 8 teeth and is teething again so that will probably mean 10 very soon he has only gotten teeth two at a time.

Hey, my name is Kristen and I just joined today from Salt Lake City UT! I am a 38 year old 1st time mother and we are hoping for another baby very soon. We have a little girl named Klaeree who was born on 8/21/08 and is such a joy in our home! My husband & I both work full time, but are blessed to have Grandma watching our little girl at least until she turns 2 years old.

Klaeree has always been a very contented and good-natured little girl from the beginning. She bypassed crawling all together the day she stood and started to walk at 8 months. Now she runs everywhere and we just TRY to keep up!! Klaeree loves anything to do with Tinkerbell or Winnie the Pooh and is just to the point of cuddling dollies and stuffed animals. She loves to watch Wall-E and Miss Spider shows as well as Finding Nemo. Klaeree loves to wear beads--she pats her tummy when I get her dressed to go out which is the signal for 'where are my pretty beads, Momma?' LOL She loves to giggle and positively shrieks with laughter when she is excited!

She loves pizza, spaghetti, broccoli, noodles, rice, cheetos, cheerios, raisins, french toast, turkey-bacon and chocolate--and that is all. She will not have anything to do with any other foods at this point. Recently she just started to drink apple juice, but most of the time she will just have a bottle of milk or a sippy cup of water--or a big huge adult size water bottle to dribble all down her tummy.

I'm not sure where she is developmentally but we know she is pretty smart since she remembers things easily. She loves to hold things in her little hands and she can't stand for anything to actually be inside boxes or for blocks to be stacked up nice & pretty. She mostly says 'ticka-ticka' (tickle), Momma, Dad-da and all sorts of other gibberish. She usually keeps up a constant stream of chatter when she is telling us a nice, animated story or when she is loudly telling us off while pointing at us and following us from room to room.

Klaeree loves to growl and play tackle with us, especially when watching Monsters, Inc. She is very good at obeying us when we say No and leaves things alone that she should not touch. I’m constantly amazed at the recognition and understanding she demonstrates all the time. She understands what we say when we are going out for a walk, for a drive, going to the store, time for a bath or for bed, or when she needs to be quiet. Oh, and she knows how to whisper which I personally think is hilarious!!!

Anyway, we are glad to be on board with Circle of Moms!

Hi! I just joined circle of moms! I am Megan, 22 years old, married to Stephen 23. We have 3 children. Nicolas is 3, Landon is my august baby, and Alex is 6 weeks old!! Still haven't got my girl yet so we plan to try one more time in a few years. I am going back to work in just a couple more weeks and i am a direct care staff for a company where i take care of mentally disabled people. Its a very interesting job to say the least. Landon was born on 8-8-08 weighing in at 7lbs and 0.9oz and 18 1/2 inches long. Landon had a lot of feeding issues and couldnt handle my breast milk (none of my kids can) so we were on every type of formula with a hospital stay at 4 weeks old before we finally landed on something great! and even with the milk allergies he has done great with regular whole milk! He has been walking since about 10mos old and was crawling by 7mos. He is a very happy child who is constantly smiling and laughing and playing at all times. He no longer takes a bottle and hasnt since 13mos, he loves the cup and is a great sleeper. Next step for me is getting him potty trained like his brother!! And i guess some more talking would be a good thing as well. His main words right now are mama daddy bye NO and night night. He just has no interest in speaking really! Hes a quiet baby and always has been.

Hey everyone I'm Jessica, I'm 26 years old and my beautiful daughter is Seanna. We are from Niagara Falls Canada, and I have been a member of Circle of mom's for a few months but am just really starting to use it and figure things out.

Little Miss Seanna is not a good sleeper. When she was born it was easier to have her sleep in bed with us (in one of those little co-sleeper beds of course) since I was nursing. When it came time to begin the transition into her own bed, it was just an all around nightmare. I've tried it all but nothing seems to work. I have a pretty consistant schedual, but it still doesn't matter. Unless she is in our bed wiht us there she will not go to sleep or stay put. It's been pretty stressful on my fiance and myself's relationship because it makes life a little stressful when you have a wee one in your bed all the time. It doesn't leave much time for other things that need to go on (if you get what I mean) I just can't seem to get her to stay in her own bed and get herself back to sleep on her own when she awakes

Hello, I'm 29, and for my son's first year worked full time as a teacher. This year I have been subbing. My mother helps watch my son during the day when I work. Jared was born August 17 and was nineteen days early. He is walking very well, but not doing much talking. He will sign please, more, all done, and sometimes milk. He is strong-willed in wanting to do things he wants to do, but is a pretty easy going baby so far.

Hello moms,
My name is Dana, I am 41 years old and the stay at home mom to 6 wonderful children ages 16 - 12 - 4 - 2 - 2 - and Cori McKenna born 8-13-08. It would seem I have had a little bit of experience in all things..my first born came into this world at 28 weeks weighing 2lbs 5 oz and my last (cori) was 9 lbs 12 oz...and the twins each weighed right at 7 lbs a piece. I love my kids dearly and each one is its on separate lil entity that i enjoy being one on one with. Cori is by far the happiest and most content of all my babies, she began walking on her birthday - just stood up and took off - but she does not talk..she can laugh...giggle...scream...and grunt...that's about it. Im'm not too worried about it yet, but I am eager to hear her say mommy more....she has said it....but very very rarely. Pleasure to be apart of circle of moms !
