hello, i have 4 months old baby boy and have stopped breast-feed him 2 months back. Now he's purely on formula. 150ml for every 3 hourly. Do you think I could start giving him mashed pumpkin? heard it's rich in vitamins and good for infants. Do I need to add anything on it?

wow.. i fed him a teaspoon of mashed pumpkin by using my index lol.. and yeah, he pushed his tongue out. he seemed enjoy it though still at the end he didn't finish it. But as a first timer, he was quite okay, i guess.
And he poo more regularly now. Earlier he poo-ed only once in 3 days. Checked with his PD, it's normal as long as not watery.

yea I agree but at the same time when u start feeding them rice cereal they automatically push it out at first, when I started feeding my 4 month old son ice cereal I would offer him a spoonful many times throughout the day and at first he kinda spit it out and even gagged a bit but hen he started to eat very well

i would wait and clear it w/ur ped. mine said we should start w/rice cereal and just see how it goes. it really all depends on the tongue and if it still pushes out. that determines how good they are going to eat. i always say better be safe then sorry lol
