My 14lb 11oz 11 week old boy takes 26-30oz of bottle feed a day...how do I get him to sleep through the night?

My boy currently wakes anything between 1am and 3am for a feed. If he wakes around 1am he will wake again around 4.30am and not go back down, wanting a feed and playtime as if it's morning, which means his next nap isn't till around 9am. How do I get him to sleep through from 8pm to 6am (ish). Does room temp or amount of feed have any relation to night time sleep? He sleeps on average 3 hours during the day which is apparently about right (altough a lot of the sleeps in our arms or when out walking in his pram).

we stick to the same routine every night. My son is eating about 5 0z every 4 hours during the day. Around 9pm we give him a bath and then a bottle. Halfway through the feeding we swaddle him. When he is finished with the bottle we rock him for about 10 minutes and put him down. Sometimes it takes a while for him to fall asleep but he will usually last until about 7am. He occasionally wakes up in the middle of the night but if he doesn't cry I don't feed him and eventually he puts himself back to sleep.

My little man is 11 weeks old and sleeps through the night. He feeds 4 -5 hrly during the day. He usually feeds about 7ish at night, i put him to bed at 8.30 and swaddle him, he also has music playing quietly. He falls asleep on his own with a dummy. If he stirs i just pop it back in quietly, without talking to him and try not to let him see me,no eye contact, I don't even smile at him. If he sleeps through his next feed I wake him usually at 11ish before I go to bed. He will then sleep through to about 7am. If I don't wake him, he wakes at 4.30 to feed. Give it a try, it works wonderfully for me, he has been sleeping through since 3 weeks of age. A happy mum means a happy baby!!

When my little didnt want to sleep i started a sleeping pattern with her. By 7:30 i would put her pj's on, give her her bottle (with gerber rice cereal, 1 tsp for every 3 oz.,Dr. approved.) and then rock her to sleep i kept doing this everyday for a week and now she knows its time to sleep and she'll sleep from 8 at night wake at 4:30 to eat and still sleeping until 830 the next morning. Try the formula with the cereal, it makes them feel full for longer periods of time!
