My daughter who was born in the middle of August is currently 11 lbs 6 oz. Her doctor has done some tests and hasn't found any reason for this. It is really upsetting me because she hasn't gained any weight in like 3 months. My other child was 20lbs when he was 7 months so its really weird to me to have her be so little. Any one else have a really little baby and know why this would happen? She is healthy besides not growing!

She went to the doctors today and gained almost a pound! Which is great but because of her still being tiny we went back to the hospital for more test, hopefully it will all turn out ok. The doctor also wants me to make her formula different so she gets more calories and then she will go back in a week to see how she is doing. Thanks for the support.

I had the same problem with my eldest son. He got sent for lots of tests because he quite regularly lost weight, and when he did gain it was minimal for no reason at all and they didnt find anything. He is now 4 years and 3 months. I had him weighed last week and hes now 32lb fully clothed. I gave up worrying about him to be honest. Hes always full of energy and hes ahead in his development in most things. i guess hes just meant to be small.

She eats 3 meals a day and like 5 6oz bottles. She eats jar foods. The doctors ran a few test and everything came out fine. But they see her every month to check her weight. which makes me worry she recently lost some weight and so they had me bring her every 2 weeks. She goes back tomorrow so hopeful she gained some weight back. She had pneumonia about a month ago which made her vomit a lot which the doctor thinks is why she lost weight.

As long as she is healthy, and the doctor says everything is okay. I wouldn't worry too much. What does she eat and how much? She might just be small in nature, and will be a tiny size 0 girl.
