Hi. My daughter is 14 months old aslo and weighs 12kgs. I wouldn't be to worried as my second child, who is now 6, only weighed around 10kgs when she was 14 months old. Once they start walking and running around they do start to slow down a little with their weight gain, like other people have said as long as they are happy and eating well then every is all good. As a mother with three and the fourth on the way I can safely say that you will know if something is wrong.

My son is 13.5 months and is not even 10kg! A few weeks ago he was only just over 9kg! But he is a happy, healthy baby who is putting on weight at a steady rate (just slower than some others!) and I have been reassured over and over by his doctor and the maternity and child health nurses that he is fine. He is developing normally and doing all the things he's meant to be doing, and is bright and alert and looks "well". Don't stress :-)

Oh oh, I think We have a problem. Our 14 month old son weighs 12,5 kilo! (But He's also very tall: 84cm). I am a mother of 2 giants ;-) My doughter is now 2 years and 10 months and she weighs already 17 kilo and is about 104cm. They never said they are too heavy or too tall.

I think that should be ok. My daughter (now 14 months) weighed 10kg at 13 months. Her nurse said her weight and height are progressing normally, so it's not a problem.

my little boy is 14 months old too and weighs 11 kgs I think between 9-11kgs is a fairly normal weight range for a 14 months old baby, I wouldn't be worried at all he sounds like he is right where he is meant to be.

I think 14 months and 10kg is average... no? 10k is little bit more than 22 lbs. My daughter was 22 lbs when she was 9 months though at 12 months she was still 22.2 lbs. Baby started to move/walk a lot more than they used to. So I'm not really worried if baby hasn't gained much weight as long as he/she is eating well and happy.

my daughter is 14 months and she weighs 8.5. the doctor said it is fine, she is just petite. my 3 1/2 year old son only weighs 13 kgs. a lot of kids in his class are around the same size and a lot are much bigger. as long as they are eating and constantly gaining some weight then they should be fine. they shoot up every now and then with a growth spurt then they slow down again. i wouldnt worry :)

Hey, I have a son who is 14 months and 11 kg...As long as your child is happy and is eating every meal I do not think this is something to worry about. But if the Child is unhappy and do not seam to enjoy its meals I would go to the doctor...

My soon to be 14 month old weighs almost 18 lbs. Doctor says as long as she eats & gains weight not to be concerned.

No, my son weighs about the same. As long as he's eating and drinking he should be fine. If you are still worried go and see your GP or community health nurse.
