Nursing every 3-4 hours. You???

sorry i forgot to tell you how much he eats duh...... Mikhail eats usually 5-8 times a day and then 2 a night

I'm still nursing every 3-4 hours as well, plus 2 solid food feedings, but this includes probably 3-4 feedings through the night. My daughter weighs almost 22 lbs. I think that breastfed babies often prefer nursing to food for a while. I'm also jealous of your nighttime of sleep - you can be happy about that at least!

I breastfeed at least 5-6 times a day, with one or two solid meals in there as well.

Colin is probably every 4ish hours during the day and usually gets up twice at night. I'm jealous you get 10-12 hours at night! I feed solids 2x a day but he doesn't eat much in the morning;

This sounds just like my son. He is also 8 1/2 months old and nurses every 3-4 hrs. He eats about 5 jars of baby food a day plus cereal!!!

My son nurses about 8 times a day, when he wakes up, before and after naps, after lunch and dinner, and then before bed. He sleeps 11hrs a night, without waking to eat. I breastfeed on demand but this is the schedule that has developed. He eats about 8oz of baby food, 8oz of cereal, and table food during the day.

My boy nurses every couple hours (sleeps about 10 hours a night with no feedings) and eats solids a few times a day. Sometimes though, he will refuse to nurse and want solids instead. I just follow his lead...he knows his body and needs better than I do right now. Gotta feed a growing baby!

My daughter feeds about 3-4 times during the day and at least once at night. I've had one health visitor tell me not to breastfeed her so often so she eats more solids. The other health visitor said she still needs her milk and not to drop a feed unless she no longer wants it. I think the second one made more sense. My daughter eats more solids if I feed her on demand. If I try to cut out feeds, she refuses the solids. I think it's best to follow the baby's lead.

my little boy eats about every 3-4 hours and sometimes once during the night! I only feed him solids once a day but he prefers to nurse!

Mine still breast feeds a lot, but doesn't eat as much as yours does during the day. Mine also still wakes every few hours to eat at night. As long as he is not too fat and sleeping well I wouldn't be concerned about it.
