We are introducing the potty slowly. When my daughter has bath time we try to get her to sit on the potty if she doesn't want to no big deal and if she does she does. She has only once used the potty and it was for her daddy and not me!!! We are also very open talking about pee and poo with her and trying to get her to recognize when she is doing each.

My daughter was potty trained at 18 months old. She was no problem. My son is now 18 months old and wants nothing to do with it. He'll sit on the potty for a few minutes and that is it. I think it depends on the child. Just always remember to keep it a positive experience. I don't want to force the potty on him. I want him to love it, not hate it. Make it fun. We sing, dance, and cheer when my daughter went potty. My son has not gone in the potty as of yet. I cant wait!

We bought a potty and everytime we go potty we tell our son to sit on the potty. We also sign with him so we sign potty. In addition, when he starts grunting as he hides in the corner to poo, we tell him to sit on his potty (in his diaper). He also makes himself pee in the bath everynight. So we have started the process but based on his signals. You make the decision when you feel it is right for your daughter! Good luck.
