My 8 month old daughter is having troubles with the lumpier babyfood. I moved her from the 6month -8month and she handles the fruits and veggies fine, but the meats/meat mixtures she gags to the point of throwing up. She eats Cherrios and gums cookies and fruits. Any suggestions to help her out. she can't keep eating the 6 month meats forever!

My last daughter would not eat any of the 3rd foods. So since she liked to finger feed herself we gave her the graduates. I think it was more the self feeding part that she liked. She did not want to be fed anymore. But if she isnt ready for that then just let her stay with the stage 2 foods. I know if her let her feed herself it caould be messy but thats why they invented the bath. I'm so glad kids are washable.

I wish I could help, but I have the same thing! My daughter hates any of the 3rd foods, even the veggies! I tried given her one with pasta chunks in it and she literally ate the other food then pushed the chunks out of her mouth! I think they will transition to chunkier food when they are ready to.
