What are other 4.5 month olds doing?

Riley is most 5 months old, she was 42 weeks and weighed 8bs 15oz. and is now 15 pounds. She held her head since birth (which was nice! No one was afraid to hold her) She cues and squeals and baby babbles. She rolled over a few times but not very often. She also likes to stand and sometimes she will throw a fit sitting or laying because she wants to stand. She trys to walk if you hold her arms. lol. she eats about 6 oz every 4-5 hours and sleeps through the night but takes about 30 - 60 min naps a few times a day. It is nice that your little one is growing nicely! His adorable!

hi my daughter Ava was born full term on 11th aug. as of today she can sit by herself and puts her hands down to stop herself falling to the side but often gets too excited and falls backwards. she has been rolling over for 2 1/2 months and now rocks back and forth on hands and knees occasionally putting her knees forward only 3 at a time though in sequence. she spends between 2 - 3 hours on her tummy a day. if we are home she sleeps between 1-2 hours and sleeps between 7.30pm and 7am every day. she eats a small amount of rice cereal each morning but is lucky to drink 5 x 150ml or just ove 5 oz bottles a day although she seems to be growing still so thats all that matters!

Sounds like your little one is right on track on his milestones. Rafael is also 4.5 months, he loves to smile, giggle and babble. He is drooling like there is no tomorrow, he's 2 bottom teeth are almost out!!! Recently he's been grabbing everything he can to put it in his mouth. He rolls over from since he was 2 months. Lately he's been also impulsing himself to a full sit up position, he falls to the side after a couple of minutes but he is trying!!! He is nursing every 2-3 hours. Takes cat naps (15-30minutes) and at night sleeps 5-6 hours before waking to feed. He is weighing 13 pounds. No solids yet util he is 6 months.

Reading about all these babies sure makes me smile.  :)

Kyle will be 5 months tomorrow.  At the last weigh in (at 4 months) he was 16 lbs.  He takes 7 oz every 4-5 hours, sleeps 30 min-1hour about 3 times a day.  He is eating solids (1 jar) once a day.  His night time sleep is a bit more erratic.  For the most parts he'll sleep 6 hours at a time, get up to feed and go right back to sleep.  But lately, he's been whimpering every 1-2 hours after the first 6 hours.  (Perhaps I need to reduce a naptime in the day?).  He's drooling and gumming everywhere and everything (hands and toes being his favorite target), but no signs of teeth so far.  He sits upright on the sofa and stands up with support (his favorite position) and loves to jump up and down.  He loves tummy time, but has only rolled over a few times.

Brayden sounds like he's on target..don't worry about milestones, they say every baby's schedule is different.

ok, sophie is 4months and 3 weeks weighs 21lbs, piggy is not the word lol. dribbles everywhere , chews everything, sits up holds her own bottle, and  stands very well to the point she is walking with help, has 5 bottles a day has porridge in the morning, and laughs at everything , sleeps one or two hours a night if im lucky and eats every 5 hours at a push. she is too darm nosy for her own good lol.

My daughter Jessica was born full term she is 5 months 2 weeks I had her weighed last week and she was 16 pound 9oz, she laughs out loud and smiles and goos all of the time, she can sit on her own but we have to watch her as she likes to throw herself backwards and she has started rolling over on to her tummy on her own. She stands with support and that is her fav position coz she is very nosey!!!



She held her hands out to be picked up for the first time on boxing day, it made me cry LOL. She holds her own toys and reaches and grabs for everything all of which go straight into her mouth!!! LOL



She is fully weaned as I am due to go back to work next month :-( , I have just started her on formula again for this reason and I am really missing breast feeding her :-( (am in agony with my boobs any tips would be welcome)



She goes to bed at 7pm sleeps until 10pm has her last bottle and then sleeps through until 8am. She has approx 2-3 naps (between 30mins and hour) through the day, normally after her feeds. I asked the midwife if this is normal and she told me that most women would kill for a baby like that (that told me then!!!)

HI MY DAUGHTER IS NEARLY 5 MONTHS SHE CAME A WEEK EARLY WEIGHING 5.15 OZ. SHE SURPORTED HER HEAD AS SOON AS SHE WAS BORN.SHE IS NOW ON FOOD IM WEANING HER, SHE MAKES COOING NOISES, SLEEPS THREW THE NIGHT AND SMILES AND REACHES OUT FOR TOYS.

Keegan is 4 months and 3 weeks. He is laughing at tickles as well as at external things like the dog.  He is sitting up almost unassisted, holdong his head up well.  He eats as soon as he wakes, which is about every 3 hrs.  He sleeps for 30-60 mins at nap times, and for 1-3 hr spurts at night, waking to eat. He is teething, and puts anything he can find in his mouth! No solids yet, i am afraid to do it too early, but he is mastering a sippy cup of water.  he weighs 17 lbs, and is growing out of his 6 month clothes already!  EEK  He is not rolling over yet, and still hates tummy time.

Thanks for all the comments I truely appreciate them...it gives me peace that my lil guy is right on track with everyone else.  Docs really scared me with all the concerns of preemie babies.

Payton is chatting laughing gives kisses smiles ALOT. Waves stands with help sits for awhile without being held before toppling over. rolls over grabs for things puts everything in her mouth.  She was 5 lbs 1z when she came home shes 14 lbs 5 oz now

My daughter is 4 and 1/2 months and she weighs almost 13 lbs, is rolling over (back to front), loves to stand with support and holds her head very steady.  She's grabbing (and eating) her feet when on her back.  She's smiling, laughing and speaking gibberish.  She grabs toys, and of course everything goes into the mouth.  She doesn't sleep much ... about 4 hours when first put down at night and then up every hour and a half to two hours after that during the night. and she takes an average of 3 naps a day.  She's also eating about 4 oz of breastmilk every 2 hours during the day.  It sounds like your son is right on track!

My son Logan is just over 5 months now. But at 4 1/2 months he was weighing about 15 lbs, was 26 1/2 inches long and was able to sit up in his "Bumbo" seat. He could hold his head up on his own and keep it in-line with his shoulders. He too loved to stand up with the help of us. Logan's sleep isn't very consistent. One night he slept the entire night, and the next night he only slept 4 hours before he was up. He certainly doesn't get up every 2 hours, but I'd say that he was waking up every 4. When he'd wake up I'd feed him and he would go right back to sleep. He was smiling a lot, giggling, making growling sounds and was grabbing for toys. He also found his feet by this time. He eats his feet, or at least tries to. It amazes me at how flexible he is...lol It sounds to me like your little guy is doing very well!

Micaela is 4 months, 3 wks. She giggles, but no real laughs. Smiles constantly. Eats every 2-4 hours, and her recent accomplishment is rolling over. She is eating rice cereal twice a day, but only a tablespoon or less each time. She naps usually twice a day for at least an hour, and sleeps for about 6 hours evening/night before waking up to eat. Oh, and she chews on everything in sight, as well as drools constantly.
