My son just turned 5 months last week and is 14 1/2 pounds. I was running low of size 2 so Ithe next box I thought I would get size 3, since size 3 starts at around 16 pounds. Just wondering what other mom's are doing! They just look so big...I wish he was still in his newborn diapers!! :)

Wow, My little Autumn turned 6 months on the 12th.  She is still in a #1. On the verge of a #2 diaper. She only weighs 11# 14 oz. She started of at 5# 7 oz then dropped down to 4# 11oz.

At five month my son was in size 2, he has been in them for a few months. at 5.5 months he was 15lbs so I think we are going to be in size 3 around 6 months or shortly thereafter.

My 5 1/2 month old has been in size 3's for a couple of months now and I think we may start size 4 soon,  he is just so long!!

I also find the huggies are bigger than pampers. I dont really like huggies, I have more leaks. I like pampers the most because they are softer as well. My daughter is in size 2 but i really think i should get 1-2 because she leaks out the leg holes sometimes. I have been having a lot of wet accidents lately.

My lil gurl just turned 6 months and Im moving onto size 4's with her. She doesn't look big or really long, I think she's just condensed lol. I actually have to move onto a new car seat because the infant one only goes to 22 lbs and she's 21.6.4

my daughter is in size 3 and has been for 2 months or sooo... Its kinda funny because my son is going to be 3 in july and hes only in a size 4 so pretty soon they will be in the same size diapers.. Hes a skrany kid and shes a chunky kid.. Does anyone else find that the huggies diapers seem bigger then the pampers???

We buy size 4, but Amelie is a pretty big baby for her age (20 lbs). I also like when diaper is not very snugged because it does not leak.

I cloth diaper but Anakin was 17.5 lbs at his 4 month checkup. His 6 month is next week. He was 10lbs4oz at birth though so he was born fitting into size 1 diapers.

My daughter is 16.5 lbs and is in 3's... and we have another huge Costco box of them, but I'm thinking she probably won't be in them that much longer.  We might take them back and exchange them for 4's, and just get a smaller package of 3's.

i was in the same situation yesterday. They did look huge to me too. But it fits. I am really having the baby blues. I remember when his diaper was so tiny

Pampers has size 2-3 that goes up to 22 lbs. I think sz 3 might be too big since it goes to 28 lbs. My son (nearly 6 months) has been in 2-3 for a while and I'm sure he is close to 19-20 pounds and this sz is still good for him. I would go for the transitional sz if I were you.

size 3 since he was four months old, he weighed 15 pounds then. He now ways almost 18. I like the diapers to be big rather than tight.

My daughter Riley wears 1-2 and 2. It just depends on what brand of diapers we buy, she is 15 pounds and I just now started buying 2.

my daughter is still in size 1-2 but she wears pampers so I would think it depends on the brand she will soon be in size 3 though probably by the time she turns 6 mths old this month. I just got some diapers that were size 3 and have them just in case one day the 1-2 don't fit

We just bought a box of size 4 diapers today.  She'll be ready for them when we finish the current batch of size 3s, which are tight around her chubby little legs.  She's 5.5 months old and 21 lbs.

My son is in size 3 and has been for about a month.  He still fits the size 2s but we were having lots of leaks so I jumped up to the 3s and have had very few leaks since.  They're kind of big but its easier to get the bigger diapers on snugly.

my son turned 5 months yesterday, weighs about 17 lbs and is still wearing size 2 diapers just fine. He wears huggies which go up to 18lbs in a size 2, I believe. I think pampers has a transistional 2-3 size. I would say at 14 1/2 lbs, your little guy should still be in size 2.

Hi, my son is a healthy 19lbs. He will be 6 months soon. He is wearing size 3. I started him on size 3 at about 17 lbs. You made the right choice if you were getting a box, but I would have gotten a bag of size 2 just to keep and use until he no longer fits them. Also it depends the brand you use because the size and fit varies. I use pampers brand only, they fit really nice.

My son Christopher is 5 months and 2 weeks, he weighed in at 14 lbs 1 oz on his last checkup, but then got sick and lost weight, now he weighs 13 lbs 9ozs. he is wearing 2's but he can still fit 1's so i'm finishing up the 1's that i had.
