My son will be 1 on the 13th and is not walking yet. He pulls himself up, he cruises, he stands with no support. His father has told me that he has taken one step then fallen a couple times. I have not seen this yet. He is just getting used to the balance of standing up and will probably take some steps in the next week or so. I am positive he will be walking within a month. Don't worry about when it happens. This is one of those many milestones that you cannot compare with other children. They could walk between 6mo-18mo. It is an exciting and scary time!

Mine took his first steps at 11 months and 1 day =) ....he attempted walking for a few days then gave up for a couple weeks and ever since 11 1/2 months he's been walking everywhere. He can only walk barefoot though, definitely not with shoes so if we ever want him to sit still, we just put a pair of shoes on him haha! He's still not real steady yet! He'll be one on the 14th

My little man was an early walker, 11 months. God help us all now, lol! I dont think you should worry just yet, my friends little one didnt show any interest until 18 months. they will do it when they are ready.......you know what kids are like!

My little guy will be 1 on Aug. 16th.. he pulls himself up, but won't walk. If we do the walk w/him holding our fingers, he gets excited and just jumps up and down. My older son was 15 months old before he walked for the 1st time. Doc said it was a balance thing. Their bodies have to get used to the weight and ability to support themselves. :-) It'll happen, hang in there!
