My daughter is 18 weeks now and still hasn't rolled over. She moves from her back to her side all the time. And she will stand being on her tummy for about 10 mins then she gets really frustrated and fussy. Should I be worried that she won't roll over yet?

Summerlinde rolled herself over today - from her back to her side to her tummy. Flipped her father and me out but good! =) And it was out of nowhere.

my daughter is 16 weeks and is not rolling over yet either and iam glad to see my baby is not the only one. I also have 3 other kids and I looked in there baby book the other day and my boys was almost 5 mths before they started rolling over and my oldest son was like 5 1/2 mths before he did but he started walking at 10-11 mths. old so you never know what and when they will do each milestone.

Wow this helps me feel like I'm not alone either! My son is my 1st child, and he's 16 weeks and hasn't even attempted to roll from tummy to back. He HATES tummy time, no matter how much "fun" I try to make it! He'll tolerate about 2.5 minutes and then he's done, he has great neck strength but wont even consider rolling. From his back he'll roll to his side, grab his feet and legs, but he hates being on his tummy so I think that's why he doesn't go all the way...I'm glad he's not the only one :-) I don't have to worry so much now!

My daugher has rolled over on our bed because its soft but on the floor she never does. She doesnt even like tummy time... She does love to sit up though so I have a feeling she will be one of those babies that goes from sitting to walking,,, skipping crawling all together :)

my oldest daughter didn't roll over until she was about 4 and a half months old. and my daughter who is 4 months old now has been rolling over since she was a week shy of 2 months. each kid is different and they will do it in their own time. i was worried about my oldest too and she is 2 now moving like crazy i cant get her to sit down.

My son is 19 weeks and just finally rolled over from tummy to back. He can get onto his side with no problem from his back. I was worried too, but the pediatrician said he isn't really behind yet. My son was also 4 weeks early so his development is based off of a 15-week-old baby. Just encourage your little one to roll over by using toys and lay down next to her just out of reach and see if she'll reach for you. My son hates tummy time as well, but we keep working at it. All babies are different. As long as she is growing normally, I wouldn't be worried about it yet : )

My daughter just hit 16 weeks and will only play on her tummy for a few minutes before starting to cry. She rolls from her back to her side when she's sleeping, but very rarely when she's awake. She will not roll from her tummy to either side. She balances on her belly very well and holds her head up to almost 90 degrees when on her belly. I am a little worried about the rolling, but as has been said on CoM, I feel better seeing mine isn't the only baby being stubborn about rolling.

Hi, I have twin boys, and one is rolling over from back to belly, belly to back etc, he other is just belly to back. Every baby is different, but have you tred encouraging your baby with a toy? play with it for a while and get her to follow it, and then place it down out of rech and see how she goes, our midwife told us about this and now hunter is rollling everywhere lol.

My son rolled from his belly when he was a month and a half and he hasbeen rolling from his back for about 2 weeks now. He just turned 4 months old. He rolls all the time now and let me tell you take advantage of them not rolling yet. It is so hard to change him, bath him, clothe him, I can't put him down without him rolling over right away..lol....every baby is different. My best friends baby is a week older than my son and she is not rolling either. My son started going to his side so I just kept practicing and helping him roll to his belly and making him feel like he did it on his own. Within a week or so he did it on his own. But never worry about anything that your baby isn't doing, every baby is different don't worry until your doctor worries!! :) She/He will do it when they want to!

My son is 4 months old tomorrow and really doesn't like to be on his tummy at all. In fact, he really cannot even hold his head up off the ground yet. He just turns it side to side. We're just glad that he can finally hold his head up steadily, which just started happening recently. The Dr. doesn't seem worried at all about his progress, so I'm not. He's my 3rd, and they have all been different!

I think its normal. If she is going from her back toher side, it'll be no time before she starts rolling over. my daughter is almost 4 months and just started rolling over. So don't worry. Its normal! And if your really worried about it, just ask your doc at your baby's 4 month appt. :)

My son is also 18 weeks old and has not rolled over yet. He will roll on his side and grab at his feet, but hates being on his stomach so he won't go all the way over either:(

My daughter turns 4 months tomorrow and still hasn't rolled over. I wouldn't worry about it - all babies develop differently.

you shouldn't be worried at all. every baby is different and develops at his or her own pace. my little guy hates tummy time so much that his crawling will probably be a little behind everyone else. just let your baby go at her own pace and she's be rolling over and crawling before you know it.

HI Sarah

My little girl is 4 months old and she hasn't rolled over yet either. She gets half way and gets frustrated! We then help her onto her tummy and she is happy to be there for 10 minutes and then rolls herself back onto her back! If you get overly concerned, maybe go and see an early childhood nurse (not sure where you live - sorry!) and talk to them and see what they suggest. Give her more tummy time, that might help!

Hope this helps

No, babies all develop at the time thats right for them. My son is almost 4 months and he will tolerate being on his tummy and only rolls to the side on our bed.
