My flutters started a couple of weeks ago and, lately, I've been feeling more solid movements that I imagine to be her kicking or moving around. . There is no consistency to the movements and I find myself getting frustrated when I don't feel her. How long after you start feeling the baby move does it get more constant to where you should be counting the kicks per hour? Does the baby's size impact this, so as she grows, I'll feel her more? Would love any advice...thanks!

I am 20 weeks and have been feeling the baby move for about 4 weeks now. It feels like it's doing flips or something! My husband is upset because he can't feel it yet. I think it's cute! It moves a lot right after I've eaten.

I'm 21 weeks and have been feeling movements for about 2-3 weeks now. At first it felt like gas bubbles, but it was like 5-10 kicks in a row! The other night she was kicking pretty hard and my hubby felt her. So awesome! This is my first, and she has been pretty active at the ultrasounds hopefully she will continue this after she is born!

I am 17 weeks w/baby #2 and feel movement too. It's more like rolls...just from the inside. Pretty neat though! I have felt the movements much earlier the 2nd time around. With my 1st it wasn't until about 20 weeks when I realized what I was feeling. Good luck to everyone!

I am at the end of my 18 weeks and I felt a pretty big kick yesterday, my husband even got to feel. But now I only feel little things here and there. To me it doesn't feel like flutters, it feels more like popcorn popping, lol. Or maybe I'm just hungry? Ha! Just kidding... no, it really does feel like if I had popcorn popping in my belly. I LOVE IT! When it happens that is :)
My movements doesen't feel outside...yet! There was this one day when I thought that they must feel outside too (my mind makes tricks and because I feel them inside so I wasn't sure if my own hand felt them...) but because I was mad at my boyfriend and wasn't talking to him so I didn't ask him to feel... :)
Because I'm little....cubbie...I think this doesen't show so well outside yet :)

Yayy! I finally felt movement, so much that my boyfriend could feel them too :D
Little pokes of what I think is a little foot in the same place about 12 times in a row...in the ultrasound at 12.5 weeks the baby was a jumper so maybe they still are.
Defanitly a relief to feel the baby and just shy of my 20th week.
Finnish books says that if you are expecting the first child you should feel the first movements about week 20. I felt them week 18 sharp. I would descripe them as myokymia (straight from dictionary). Usually I feel them when I'm going to sleep but last few days I've felt them while standing up! :) My due date is 2.8.2009 so now we are on week 19+2. :)
hey all...thanks for your inputs. Celia don’t worry… its strange…Coz when I posted this question I was about 16 weeks and could feel all that...and now that I just started my 19th week I can’t feel a thing for the past week...donna how that happens...but after reading a little, it just menas that the baby is in another position..and maybe active when I am asleep. Been to the doc this past week and heard the heart beat..and that to me is reasuring. They say you can try taking a glass of milk and laying down for about 2 hrs or so...the enegry with no movement from you might make the baby active:)...all the best.
