We had gotten a Fisher Price Sounds & Lights model for a baby shower gift and it worked great, but only on one channel. The other channel was pure static. Then we had new neighbors move next door and their monitor apparently uses the same frequency because we were hearing them on our monitor. :( We immediately stopped using ours since it was now useless unless we wanted to eavesdrop on our neighbor's baby and have them hear ours. There is a 10-channel version of the same monitor but it's double the price, so we're trying something else. I've heard good things about the Safety First ones - I think we'll pick up one of those to replace it!

I have the Angel Care Sound & Movement monitor (and absolutley love it) it only has static when I turn off bubs monitor & forget to turn mine off. But aside from that it has NO static
