Babys Weight now and at birth

Just thought i would post again to reiterate what Jessica has said. Yes all babies are different, slow weight gain for one baby can be totally normal for another.
My little boy was born 3.5 kg or 7lb13oz, at almost 5 months he was 5.3kg and at almost 6 months he is just under 6kg (13.2lbs). At 6 months I was only 6kg. He is fully breast fed, and has been through having formula top ups to see if he would gain more, and it made no difference. He is just going to be little like his mum!
He can sit unassisted, has been able to stand against something since 5 months, and has hit every developmental milestone for his age. Not to mention how absolutely gorgeous he is!! lol.

Gabe was born August 23rd...28 days early. He was 5 lbs 15 oz and was 19 in long. Today he weighed in at 15.2 lbs and was 25.5 in long. He is in the top 25th percentile.
Remember weight and height are different for every child. It really depends on their birth size and then it depends on genetics. You can not base your child's growth on the development of other children. The best way to know that you child if growing properly is to ask their pediatrician to show you their growth chart.

Kierra is now 12lbs 15oz today which is wonderful for her because she started out almost 8 weeks early at 3lbs 3oz..... I'm so happy for her and it seems even though she was premature she is almost up there with the rest of the babies born in the same month.

My daughter was born Aug 13th and weighed 9lb 6oz. She is now just over 5 months old. I got her weighed at her last appointment about 4 weeks ago and she was 14lb 1oz and 25 1/8 inches long. I thought that she was going to be a really big baby for the rest of her babyhood but it would appear that she is quite average for her age.

My son was born 7 lbs 3 oz and at his 4 months check up he was 16.2. He doesnt go back to the doctor until 6 months but he just turned 5 months and i got on my scale with him and subtracted my weight and hes about 17. Its funy because he really doesnt look chubby but hes in the 75th percentile

My boy is like Laurie's. He was an average size at birth -- 7lbs 11 oz. Now, at precisely 5 months old, he's 19lbs 8oz. And he's gone from 20 inches long to 28 1/4 inches long. He's outgrowing sleepers at an insane rate!

My baby was born early on the 28/8/09, he was a tiny 5lb 2ozs. He discovered the joys of eating and is now a hefty 19lb 12ozs. He's hungry all the time and while sleepsuits, vests, tops and trousers still just about fit, he hasn't been able wear any of the lovely dungarees because I couldn't get them done up around the side. As long as he's happy and healthy who minds.

My boy was born Aug 17 at 9lbs 20 1/2". Last week at 20 weeks he weighed 20 lbs and was 28". They told us he was off the charts for weight and height - over the 100th percentile. He isn't fat being that he is so long. My husband and I are both tall people and slender/avg for weight.
