I had a c-section after 22 hours of labor because I stopped dialating. I still feel pain and tenderness.....Is this normal???? I also feel like there is something moving around in there every so often. Is this all normal??? It's been 6 months now.....Anyone experience the same things??

Glad I read this! Thought there may have a been a chance that we were pregnant again. I have felt movements, only
in the last few weeks. My c-section (3rd one) was 7months
ago. And whilst another child would still be a blessing, I was a bit Stunned when I felt little movements!

I had a c-section nearly 9 yrs ago and I still have a numbness an inch below my scar but when I was pregnant last yr my scar became extremely itchy, this did disappear once I had the baby (vbac) and lost some of the baby weight. It took me nearly 6 months to recover due to infection and also bad stitching.

I am so glad to see someone post a csection post! I rarely see them. I have had 2 c-sections, I have experieced like jolts of pain, and like crawling on my skin, that is the nerves connecting back together. And then there is the dead spot. In the lower part of stomach, I have a numb spot. Can't feel a thing.

I don't feel any movement but definitely tenderness ans some pain when I'm tired. my ob/gyn said it's all normal. Unfortunately my mother in law still feels that after more than 25years since her c-section (but the incision was . vertical).

Yup, it either feels like the first movements like "flutters" or that a baby is kicking.

OMG i feel the same way. I ended up having an emergancy c-section becasue they couldn't find my sons heartbeat, he had his cord wrapped around his neck and body. He is 6 months now and I still feel pain and numbness, I was told that I would be kind of numb for over a year but idk why I still get pain. I also feel movement, it kind of feels like a baby kicking, right??

I'm glad I saw this ... I had an emergency c-section in August 2009 they called a code on my son. It took almost 3 months for me to heal - I keep feeling little movements too and I wasn't sure what the heck it was. I am still numb, tender and have pain (sometimes). I also have feeling that comes and goes along my leg thigh. When the put the epidural in the first time they hit a blood vessal and had to back it out ... and re-do it. My son was perfect (thank god) his apgar score was 9 both times.

My 1st C-section after about 32 hours of labor because i was no longer dialating ..After it i felt a little movement i asked the Dr. and the told me that it was just muscle spasms. Lol i thought they might of missed something..like maybe another baby! Lol (Twins runs in my family and i had several people ask if i was carrying two not just one)As of the pain and tenderness how long has it been since the C-section? Tenderness can last a while..My pain went away both times a week or so before my maternity leave was up..I hope you figure things out and you feel better soon

I had a c-section as well and have been feeling movement for about 2 months now. I thought I was pregnant again as well. One doctor told me it was my uterus sizing back down to normal shape and another one told me it was muscle spasms. Either way I'm not pregnant and seems I'm not abnormal!

Thanks for posting this!

I felt that movement in my abdomen after having my daughter by normal vaginal birth, so it can't be limited to mums to who have had c-sections.

OMG am I so glad I saw this post! I still have a lot of pain too. My emergency c section took over 2 hours after 72 hours of labor ugg. What was freaking me out was the movement! I was like the others and have been thinking that I might be pregnant again! Thank you for posting this.

I had the same situation when in labor. My incision itches all the time and I do feel movement sometimes too. It's so weird. But I haven't really had any pain except for when I was working out and I felt kind of a painful stretching.

The moving around was pretty weird for me too. thought i was pregnant again, but my doctor says it's the muscle's. My mom still feels them and my little sister is 19...tenderness is apparently normal too, i'm not experiencing any pain though. it's really itchy all the time, especially on cold or really hot day's.
