My daughter just turned 7 months and I will be getting her ears pierced tomorrow. My doctor will be doing the procedure and they usually pierce babies ears at 6 months. When do you plan on getting your babies ears pierced?

My daughters are 9 and 6 years old and don't have their ears pierced. When they show an interest then I'll let them decide. Why the rush. Your daughter is cute she doesnt need to wear earrings.

I think is different for the different culture, Im from Nicaragua and my husband is from USA and we have different points of view, is normal in nicaragua to have ears pierced, younger the better, but my husband said I should let her choose. But thats against what I think is normal so now she have ears pierced. oh by the way she is 7 months old

I actually go my daughters done at 3 1/2 months! She did great and I didnt have to worry as much about her grabbing them and messing with them because she was so young. Of course we told our Pediatrician..she did great tho

When she is not a baby, i want her to make the decision when she is older like 8 - 10. I got mine done when i was 9 and it was very special for me. I want the same for my daughter. Plus they do look a little funny on a baby's tiny ears, babys are beautiful just the way the are.

My daughter got her ears pierced at 3 months, which i feel is easier than when they are able to mess with them. At 3 months they really wont move to much when it comes down to cleaning them. Because if they dont get cleaned they can become infected. Just be careful when you get them pierced make sure she dont bother them.

Thanks all...I just remember when I was a baby my mother got my ears pierced. Its sorta of a tradition. She did get them pierced on Friday and it was a pleasant experience. She only cried for a moment. After her bottle she didn't even notice them. :)

i believe my daughter is too young to have her ears pierced. its constant care, and they dont always stay infection free (i have 17 piercings in my ears) i dont believe in unnecessary pain. then again i wouldnt get my son circumsized either. it just depends on the person. :)

Well if I had a girl (hehe) I would probably wait til she is older to let her decide for herself just in case she chooses not to. But I do think little girls look lovely with earrings :) I hope she doesn't cry too much!
