going on 7 months

My son just turned 7 months too and he's crawling, pulling himself up on things and "walking" (holding onto the table, wall, sofa, etc...with both or one hand)...he doesn't walk unsupported yet. from what I've read 7 months is a bit earlier than most (I get posts about developmental milestones saying that now he should be starting to crawl now and that walking usually starts around 9 months)...but obviously not every child is the same, and I don't think that TOO early is anything to worry about. Sounds like something to be proud of :D

My daughter is a little over 7 months now and has crawled and sat up without support since 4 months old. Now she has been pulling up on the couch, my legs, and anything else that is sturdy enough to hold her for the last 2 months. She even lets go with one hand and bends down to pick toys up. She tries to walk holding my fingers but is still a little confused on which foot to use (she usually takes 2 steps with one before the other) but she can walk down the couch or around the ottoman just fine. And the Drs are right (for once) they are smart babies!! They see us walking and going faster than they can crawl so they want to "mock" us, but as long as she tries new things Im going to encourage them (no matter how bad I really dont want her to do it yet)

My baby just turned 7 months and she has been wanting to stand and walk for about 2 months now, but she gets super angry when she can't stand up or walk. But i hold her hands and let her body hold her body weight for when she gets ready to walk and stand.

My son will be 7 months old tomorrow. He is crawling, sitting unsupported for long periods of time, getting his first tooth and he too is wanting to walk. Wherever he goes in the house he pulls himself up and stands there. He is starting to get brave and let go, most of the times only with one hand. He is also crusing around the furniture. My mom says it's early for them to be doing this but he has been ahead with his development this entire time. He was sitting unsupported and starting to crawl at 4 months.

A mom of newly turned 7 mo. old who loves to play in stand-up toys, and bounce up a storm in the "jumparoo"....best baby gadget ever! She doesn't seem that interested yet with crawling or walking either. I look forward to the magical day when she wakes up and surprises me! I enjoy hearing all the parents out there of 7 mo. olds and there development =) Keep sharing.

oh my son is 6 months and does the same...all he wants to do is stand and try to walk on his own. If I put him on the ground to crawl he will try to get up and stand. He pulls himself up to stand while holding onto anything he can reach. He said his first word yesterday which was "dada" althought I wanted it to be "mama" he does what he wants so I guess I have to work with him.

My daughter is six and a half months. She is rolling over, sitting up with barely any support, and loves to stand with help. She has three almost four teeth! But she doesnt seem to be anywhere near crawling. Its fun to see how different all babies of the same age are!

My daughter is doing the same thing she will be 7 months tomorrow. She prefers to walk and has been using things all week to try and get herself to stand up. I thought it was kind of early but it seems that alot of infants that age are doing it.

Same here my daughter just turned 7 months. She hasn't started to crawl yet either and she is always trying to stand up when you hold her. She's very strong, and holds on to my fingers and tries to stand. She even tries to stand when you burp her!

Our daughter is pulling herself to standing and holding hersef up for long periods of time in a standing position. She still likes to crawl since it gets her around faster for now, but she's trying hard to keep up with her older brothers so is already letting go with one hand while holding herself up. If she keeps going like this we expect her to be walking on her own by about 8 months or so. She'll be 7 months old in about 2 weeks. She's definitely a bit early though.

My daughter is pulling herself up on EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. She is also cruising the furniture. She stood by herself today for the 1st time, but only for 5 seconds HAHA. Our dr. said she is early. Most kids crawl and begin pulling themselves up at 9 months. He said he has seem some kids walk at 8-9 months but they are advanced. So basically if your child is doing any of the things my daughter is, then your child is ahead of schedule (according to our dr.).

My little guy will be 7 months tomorrow (march 4th) and he is standing with support, rolling over, sitting with support, and JUST said his first word today..."da da! He said it once and I got so excited, but thought it was an accident. I kept encouraging him to say it again and he said it like 50 times......it was the cutest thing! AND he got his first tooth today! Big day for baby Noah! :)

my daughter is the SAME way!! she will be 7 months tomorrow. She wants nothing to do with tummy time, and wants me to hold her hands and walk with her, or play in her walker. I honestly think she will walk before she crawls, if I put my fingers in front of her she grabs them and pulls herself to stand, and honestly tries to run!
