My daughter has been rolling over for about a month now. I was asked if she was doing it and did not know because I did not give her much floor time. she was either in her exersaucer of jolly jumper. So I put her on the floor and within 20 minutes she had rolled over. She may have been able to do it sooner had I had her on the floor more.

Yes.. my son started early as well he is starting to crawl and stand (with help holding on to things) now.. just make sure you put him on the floor more than you hold him.. and dont pick him up when he crys.. my son was crying because he was just laying there and out of frustracion he flipped over and now he does it all the time.

My daughter first rolled over when she was about 3 months old but now it's something that she does every once and awhile. My son always rolled over a million times, but my daughter doesn't even try anymore.

this isn't uncommon. My friend has a baby who is 6 months and just yesterday rolled for the first time. On the other hand my little guy rolled from tummy to back at 1.5 months and back to tummy at 2 and is now sitting up unassisted and pulling himself up to stand beside the coffee table. Every baby is different and they all catch up or even out in the long run :)

My son is 5 months, 2 weeks and he hasn't rolled and also hates tummy time with a passion! He is healthy and happy and an extremely smiley fellow so I guess he'll get there when he's good and ready to :o)

My son just rolls from side to side. He hates tummy time. my doctor said there is nothing to worry about at this age. even though he doesn't roll he has strong legs and neck muscles. Every baby is different......

mine hasn't rolled yet but she is trying too and I always find her in weird spots if I leave her on the floor! Tip to Tanya re tummy time.. mine hated it too but I put her where she can see the tele if she puts her head up and she has been enjoying it lately. Also try a rolled towel under his chest as it will help get up. Hopefully he enjoyes it soon.

My daughter started rolling over from back to tummy about 2 months ago. Just recently she has begun to roll bothways. I think she just needed more tummy time to build her muscle strength. If your son is not turning yet I wouldn't worry too much. Each baby is different, and maybe your son is not interested in turning yet =)

my 5 months old baby started rolling from her back to tummy around 3.5 months. She hates tummy time so she does not do it from tummy to her back. She can move like crazy laying on her back though (by kicking...funny to see it)

My son is five months. He rolled one time just a couple days ago. Boys usually take longer to roll over than girls. I asked my doctor and he said as long as he's rolling by 6 months he's fine.

It seems everyone is saying, yes my child has rolled over, but that's not common. So I'll just throw this out there - my little girl is healthy, happy, and still hasn't rolled. I'm not worried - she'll get there :)

I gave things for Juana to aim for. All her toys out of reach. But also propt her on her side alot, she sleeps any which way front back side. i also spent heaps of time on the floor with her, rolling her towards n away. they say we wait anxiously 4 them to get over n about, then when they do we want them to stay still! lol. if u want to make progress, i suggest a 3 week trial at gymbaroo if ur near one. its like 20-35 for trial? starts first week feb

Juana figured rolling gets her anywhere... has been rolling 6 weeks or more. shes also up on hands n knees n starting to pull herself forward. she tries to hold the lounge n stand, but hates sitting up on her own yet, she cant get anywhere like that n she just wants her freedom. she also attends gymbaroo. big contributor. shes also spoken her first word. shes a week past 5mths.

My daughter will be 5 months on Jan 25th, She started to roll from back to front at just over 4 months, now she roll the whole way and left to right. She rolls all over the floor.
She even started to push her self backwards!
It took her a while to roll, i used to put her on her tummy and she hated it, but i just stuck it out, your child will get there in the end, just keep trying to them tummy time!

My 5 month old has rolled once or twice but she prefers to be sat in her walker then to be laying on the floor! She's been using her walker since 4 months old and she sits really well now. I'm not overly concerned about rolling over.. I would prefer it if she sat unaided!! I'm sure he'll do it when he's ready!!

Every baby is different....in a couple years you are not going to be saying my son rolled over at so and so age and he is so much more advanced than other babies because he rolled....he just doesn't want to! Encourage him too and put him on his side and try to get him to roll that way...he will be doing it before you know it! :)

Yes my daughter will be 5 months on the 25 th of Jan. She rolled over before she was 4 months old. She was about 3 1/2 months. I was so excited. my 22 mth old waited till she was almost 6 to roll over. I wouldn't worry. Just try to put him on his tummy and have tummy time a lot more. Or roll him from side to side a couple times a day. I know I did that with my 22 mth old. I even had to coerce her to crawl. I think my 4 mth old is doing things sooner, because she has her big sister to watch.

My daughter CAN do it, she has about three times, but she utterly hates tummy time or even lying on her back on the floor, so she doesn't get much practice.
