How big is your baby now?

Morgan was born on Aug 28th and weighed 6lbs 10 oz. Now at 19 weeks he weighs 19 lb 11 oz and is 26.5 inches long!! He looks healthy and happy!!!

There is NOTHING wrong with having a 'healthy' baby! : > At my daughters 4 months well visit...which was just about a month ago...she weighed 15 lbs. and she was 25.5 inches long. And I'm sure by now she's prob 16+ pounds. IF our children are even somewhat on the chubby side, there's nothing with it....It just means there babies & they're healthy! : )

Like one person has already said though...If your pediatrician isn't concerened, you shouldn't be either : )

My son was born August 7th and at his appointment last week he was 17 1/2lbs and 28 inches long.

My son was born August 12th and is 18lbs and 28 inches long( that was at his 4 month check up) so Im sure he weights more now. He has been in size 3 diapers now for a month. I have had people stop us to ask how old he is and when they hear that he is 5 months we get the same reaction. I think as long as they are happy and healthy it is nothing to be ashamed or worried about. We just have big babies:)

My son was born Aug 12 and at his 4mo visit he was 19lbs and 25 1/2 inches. Now at 5 months he s out growing his 9mo outfits.

hunny! i have a big baby too! My EMily , at four months was 17lb and 27 ninches long. She was almost 10 lbs and 22 inches long at birth. all babies are different. don't worry!!!!

Well my son was born August 7th 09 and his last visit he was 17lbs and i forget how many inches around 26 i think. They told me they don't really worry about chunky babies, it shows that they are eating well, and they should loose it once they start crawlin and walkin around. I get that same thing "wow, thats a big baby."

As of yesterday my 5 mth, 1 week old was 12 lbs 13 oz and 24 inches in length. She is smaller than my first two babies by about 3 pounds. Remember to just smile and nod when people give you their unsolicited opinions about your baby. You and your doctor know whats best for your daughter. Ignore all others and enjoy your little girl :)

my son matthew was born august 26th 2009, i get that all the time. "wow what a big baby!" it worries me but the dr said he's perfect. 18lbs 6oz and 26 1/4 inches long.

My son was born Aug 19, 2009 and at his 4 1/2 month mark he weighed 17.1 lbs, your daughter is fine! I just laugh at "opinionated" people like that =D

My son turned 5 months old yesterday(01-11-09) !~ on his 4 month check-up he weight 17 lbs. 6 oz. and his height was 25.5 in. ! he probably weights more now... I've also been told that he looks big for his age...i asked the doctor and she told me that he was fine...THAT everything balances out between the height, weight, and age...There's no need to worry unless your baby was small and overweight OR was big and underweight! I love my baby the way he is!

Hi.. my baby girl turned 5 months on the 8th of this month..January and she weights now 16 pounds 8 ounces, and she is 26 inches 3/4...i asked the doc if she was ok and she said she was fine...no overweight....but let me tell u something...all babies are different.. i remember my son who was 4 months and he was overweight..i think he was the same weight as ur daughter....dont worry my son was always overweight but its not a big deal...once ur baby starts running and playin she will loose that weight.

My twins are way different in size. They were born August 28th and there 4 month checkup was on Jan 8th. My son weighed 5lbs 8oz when he was born and now weighs 12lbs 9oz. My daughter was the bigger twin and the first one. She weighed 6lbs 2oz at birth and now weighs 14lbs 7oz. Carter is 23 inches and Chloe 24 inches long. Kind of short but bot hubby and I are short so maybe that is why. I think every baby is different :)

Born august 22 she weighed 8lbs 2oz
now Jan 4(4 1/2 mo old) she weighed 13.5
she was 25 percent in weight height and
head. She just started size 2 diaper, today
due to leakage.

at our 4 month well check up, which was a couple of weeks after he turned 4 months, due to the holidays, my son was 16 lbs 5 ozs and 26 inches long. he was born aug. 21st. everyone always makes the same remark of wow he's a big baby but i just shrug it off and figure they don't see too many babies. the dr told me he is in the 50th percentile in weight and 75th percentile in height. i think he's perfect and it sounds like your little one is too!

Mine was born August 21, she's 15lbs 1 oz 24 inches, I wouldn't worry unless your doctor does :) I know my best friend's nephew was born about a month after my daughter, and he's only half a pound lighter and an inch longer!

My son is also born on August 24th and he now weighs 6500 kg. He is 63 sm high.Well, maybe it's important whether the baby is breast-fed or is at adapted milk. I give him both cause I don't have mother's milk enough.

they're all so different - a baby born weighing 7lbs is going to be a lot smaller in the future than a 10lb-er for instance, stands to reason. Plus they grow at different rates. My son is 13lb5oz at 5 months... but he's on the small side and was at birth. plus people forget what size babies are "meant" to be at different ages - I've had people say my son looks big just becuase they've forgotten! ignore her

My daughter just got weighed yesterday. She is 15lbs, 11oz. She turned 5 months on the 7th. I wouldn't worry about it. When ppl say, "wow she's big", just reply "She is a great eater", or, my reply always was "I don't make little babies. I make big, healthy babies"

I get them same reaction as well. My son was born Aug. 7th and at his 4 month check up he weighed 16lbs 11oz 26in long. I think it depends on us meaning, I'm a big boned girl and my fathers side has some big men. Now my half brothers has son that is 13 months and he weighs 21lbs BUT my half brother is very petite and he gets that from his mothers side of the family. Every baby is different though.

Don't worry. My baby is very close to that size. My daughter was born on August 19 and at her 4-mth check-up she weighed 15 lbs and was 25 3/4 inches long. I hate it when strangers make stupid comments about our children. Don't they realize that we take those comments personally?

My son was born on August 12 and at his last drs. appointment on Jan 4th he weight 17lbs and 7 oz. He is now wearing size 3 diapers and is a growing very fast but he is a very healthy boy. As long as baby is healthy we should not be concern with how big our baby's are.

My daughter was born 5th August and at 4mths she was 17.8 lbs and 26.4 in. She now weights 19.4 lbs 27.6 in. She doesnt seem to want to stop growing. People think shes at least 2mths more than she is. Every baby is different, if no one is concerned than you shouldnt be either. As long as your bub is happy and healthy then its all ok. :)

My daughter is 4 1/2 months now - she was born August 19th and was a small 5 lb. 9 oz.. At the 4 month visit she was 11 lbs 8 oz. and 25 inches long. Everyone used to tell me she was "so small" and that hurt just as much since we were trying to get her to gain weight. Now that she has some cheeks on her people think she is "chubby", but she is only barely 12 pounds! People will say what they want and not think. Just as long as you and baby are happy, that's all that matters!

My son born 8/29 was 16.7 lbs at his visit this past Tuesday. He is 25". (His birth weight was 8 lbs.) He is in the 75th percentile for both weight and height.
