My son is 8 1/2 months and 28 inches , he weighs a little over 18 lbs, they said he is in the 50th percentile, so this is average......we love him just the way he is:)

My son weighs 19 lbs. and 29 in. long :) he was chuncky now that he don't sit still he is slim and trim like i was :(

I really think there are a lot of factors with weight and height at this point in time... Have you asked your pediatrition about her percentiles... Where she is with her height and weight? Or visit the American Pediatric Website.. They usually have some helpful information to see if your baby is on track or what's normal. I know my mom said as I was growing up I was always in the 100th percentile for height and 25th for weight ha ha... So the important part is that your baby is healthy and... Yes...

My son was 8 months on Sunday and I had him weighed yesterday and he came in at a tiny 15p 2oz......mind u he was only 5p 15oz at birth!! He is small but happy and so so cute!!

My daughter was 3.17kgs at birth (7lbs), and now at 8 months she weighs only 6.9kg (Just over 15lbs). very tiny little baby.

My lil chunky monkey weighs between 24-25lbs but at birth he was 5lbs 9oz but he gained weight really fast because I breastfed him but he's on formula now and his weight has not went down just going up b/c he loves to eat! lol

my daughter is 30 pounds ,but that is because she takes after her daddy.iam 80 pounds soaking wet so he is definately the dominant gene there.but she is almost the same in height as well.some babies just grow different .

My son Liam just had his 9month appt this past monday and he weighed in at 20lb7oz and 29" He's a solid little tank with legs like tree trunks. His original birth weight was 6lb4oz and his length was 20.5"

my girl was 8 months on mon 19th and she weighed just less than 20 and half pounds and is on 91st centile for height she is really chunky and fairly tall but she is 91st for weight as well so its balanced, easiest way to find if everything is ok just have her weighed and measured and compare the 2!! They should be nearly equal centiles.

You know, it is hard to determine a good weight for your child at any age... Unless you are using a growth chart. My son is 8 months as of yesterday, and he currently weighs about 20 lbs... however, the best bet to knowing if your child is healthy weight wise is (according to my doctor) to just feed them until you know they are full... My son is longer than most his age, and so his weight is actually under the "normal" growth chart... but my doctor told me that worrying about weight is never a good idea because children can vary so much...
