I was exclusively breast feeding my 4 month old daughter up until about two weeks ago. I was concerned because she would eat every two hours but only for about 5 minutes, so I decided to start pumping so I'd know how much she was taking in. It was hard to keep up with the pumping, I could only get out 3-4oz at a time and that didn't seem to satisfy her. About a week ago I could only get 2oz out every 3 hours so out of desperation I mixed the breast milk with some formula. Now Pippa (my daughter) drinks 6-7oz (3-4oz breast milk with 3 oz formula) every 4 hours and I've managed to build up a supply of about 12oz of breast milk in the fridge. My question is, should I give her a full bottle of breast milk when I have the chance to or continue to keep supplementing with formula? Also, I've read that most people mix equal amounts of breast milk and formula, is it okay to give her 4 or 5oz breast milk mixed with just 2oz formula?
