i've been noticing when i'm feeding my 5 month a bottle by the time he's finished the back of his head is soaking wet....? i also noticed that sometimes when he sleeps on my bed when he wakes there is a wet spot, i used to think he had spit up or peed through his pamper but now i know it from his head....the rest of his body stays dry and he never has a fever his head actually feels cool kind of clammy....anyone know what would cause this?

I am having the same problem with my 6 month old daughter. It's always when I am feeding her but the rest of her body is cold and clammy. When it first happened I took her to Dr but because she is not running a temp he said it's nothing to worry about. It's just the way some baby's are. Don't know what causes it but would love to know also.

I would like to know what causes it too! my 5 1/2 month old Elliot gets super sweaty when he eats and when he sleeps, and like you said, it's his head...I mean the rest of him sweats but his head soaks his crib sheet!

That happens to my daughter when she sleeps in my arms too! I'll have a big wet spot on my shirt sleeve when I put her down or switch her around because her head is so sweaty, but the rest of her body is cool.

Yes my daughters head has been super hot lately but does not have a fever. I just don't know.

my son is now 14months and his head has always been sweaty after he sleeps, eats, plays. I think he's just a hot baby! I usually put a fan on low near his head at night so he doesn't sweat coz when he does it wakes him up. He doesn't get sick from it or anything but sometimes I worry coz he feels cold on the rest of his body! But he hates being covered by blankets so he must just feel hot?

My daughter always feels cool or clammy, but will sweat like crazy! She turns 6 months the 21st. Apparently my husband was the same way, they just probably have a slightly higher body temp than normal so will keep warm more easily. I don't think it's fair, I'm wearing three blankets and they are wearing one and are sweating >_
