Both of my sons have been the same - my second is nearly 5 weeks old now & having 5 oz every 2-3 hours but still acts hungry half an hour later. Have you tried switching to the 'hungry baby' formula?

My health visitor said that there is no routine to begin with and its not worth trying to fight with him so just go with it. He will settle down into his own routine in time :-) xx

My son is the same way. he drinks 3 oz every 3-4 hours and acts hungry inbetween feedings. Sorry I have no suggestions except Ive started giving him a paci to try and see if he just wants to suck. doesnt always work tho

maybe he just wants to suck have you tried a binky? If he is hungry feed him. My newborn (#3 for me) latched on right after birth and sucked non stop for 3 days! My nipples were purple and sore but once my milk came in it was every 2 hours if he wouldn't eat for more then 10 -15 min. If he ate longer then that then he would go longer between feedings. Also if the baby falls asleep right after you start to feed then feed him in just his diaper to try to keep him awake and sucking, and if he is still falling asleep try tickling his feet. and change his diaper halfway through feeding.
