actually its not always good to mix things with medicines ... ĤTry putting the medicine in a little cup that he could drink the medicine out of or do it like the hospital taughter us when my daughter was hopsitalized with pheumonia... If there are two parents one parent holds the child on lap and secures arms and head and second parent squeezes the cheeks and administers medicine slowly into mouth when the cheeks are squeezed they can't spit it out whatsoever... After doing this once you should have kids willing to take their medicine without hassle :) good luck it worked for me and my out of control 2 year old.

My daughter used to be like that. I started giving her the syringe to drink it herself and this works. It is interesting for her to push it into her mouth herself. Help him at first and show him how to do it. It worked for me.

There is no harm in mixing medicine in with juice or milk, as long as he drinks it all! My doctor has always said that is the only problem with doing it that way because if they don't finish the drink, then they don't get the full dose of medicine. Have you ever tried the melt-away thin strips made by Triaminic? They just have to put them on their tongue and they melt, so they don't have the bad taste of medicine in their mouth. It's worth a try! I actually have the opposite problem with my son! He takes medicine and then wants "more, more, more!"

it's definitely ok to mix in with drinks or food. Juice is probably a good choice because it won't alter the taste too much and isn't likely to be left half drunk.

My son is the same way. I always ask his doctor if it comes in pill form bc he takes it so much better. And if it doesn't then she gives him a shot of antibiotics. Fever meds if you ask she can tell you if you can switch from infants to childrens (pills) and tell you the does of each.
