Yea It's normal. You know my mom says the longer they take to come out the healthier the teeth will be! So that's a good thing....my baby is 8 months and has 7 teeth so I'm praying for the best!

I assume its fine, all kids are different. My first daughter got her first tooth at 6 months. Now I have daughter #2 and shes almost 9 months and has no signs of a tooth. I would'nt worry.

My daughter did not get any until 11mths and my Son has 2 at 8mths, just depends on the baby, i have been told that the longer it takes for them to come through the stronger they are, dont know if there are any facts behind this but it might make you feel a little better!

Hi Rosalina,

My son hasn't cut his first tooth yet either. It is definitely normal, my daughter didn't cut her first tooth until about 9 months.

My 8 month old doesn't have teeth, nor any signs of them coming any time soon. I figure it's just fine because my mom says mine didn't come in for a year. No worries.

My baby doesn't have any either. Her sister that's 18 months older didn't get teeth until she was almost a year old. Her's came in perfectly fine and we haven't had any problems (yet). The only thing I heard was that "the older they are before teeth come in, the better their teeth are going to be." I don't know if this is true or not but it would make sense because they are less in contact with bottles/formula. Don't worry...they'll come eventually.

My daughter doesn't have any teeth yet either. My 1st got his at 11 1/2 months, my 2nd and 3rd got theirs at 6 months. It's all normal. The later they get their teeth, the stronger their teeth are, so don't worry.

My son does not have any teeth yet, although it feels like he has one popping up on the left side. Some babies don't get their first tooth until after their first birthday. My sons pediatrician says it is perfectly normal.

no my daughter doesn't have any teeth yet either. it is fine. there's nothing to be alarmed about. they will eventually grow in. don't try to rush them because as soon as they come in they will start biting the mess out of you. so heal yourself now because you will get bit later.

My bubs is his age and only just got her first tooth. I've heard of some babies being over one and still not having their first tooth yet. Think there's nothing to worry about, and they're all individual. Some babies in my Mums' grp have several (and they're younger than my daughter) ;)

It's totally normal, and as others are noting, follows hereditary patterns. Our 8-month-old doesn't have any teeth yet, either, but then neither did I till I was 13 months old (much to the distress of my dental-hygienist mother), and then they came in four at a time. My fraternal twin sister was right on schedule. If you know when your own teeth came in -- and when your son's father's did, too -- that will give you some idea of when you can expect your son's teeth to arrive. Hope that helps!

Phew! It was so good to read everyone's post... I was feeling the same way about my 8 month old daugher. She acts like she's teething, but I don't feel anything coming through. My (almost) 2 yr old son got his 1st tooth right at 6 months. And they say girls develop faster than boys... riiiight! She did everything else faster than him, EXCEPT cutting teeth lol.

It is perfectly fine!!!! My nephew was over a year before he got his first tooth! Then all of them came in within a mater of days!!!! Every child is different!

Hi Rosalina! I have 5 children - my six year old didn't have any teeth until he was 1 then he got a whole mouth full within a couple of weeks. Andrew my 8 month old is also gummy chops - nothing to worry about - your little one will get them for sure - never seen a child go to pre-school without any yet! :) :)
