10 month old not crawling. Should I worry?

Absolutely don't worry. My daughter did not crawl until she was 14 months and did not walk until she was 16 months. She is six years old now and always on the go. All children develop at different stages and yours will get there in the end. Have you ever seen a five year old rolling around on the floor unable to move? No!. Believe me when your baby does start to move you will wish they were still immobile. They get in to everything. Hope this helps.

Don't worry they have their own timeline some babies don't crawl at all. One tip when he's sitting place his toys a little out of reach. But mostly don't worry:)

We entered our 10-mo old son in a baby crawl race for the March of Dimes. He wasn't a good crawler yet but it was for such a good cause and it was fun. And no, he didn't crawl. Later that afternoon, we went out of town to visit my brother and guess who took his first steps? Yep...my son! 16 years later we still tell that story. Bottom line is he'll be fine!

My baby girl, Francesca, will be 10 months on the 16th, and she JUST started crawling this past sunday. I, like you, didn't know if i should worry. But after talking to the pedi and others, i realized every baby is different. I really thought Francesca was going to skip crawling altogether because she pulls herself up and cruises so easily. You're little one will be crawling sooner or later (or even go straight to walking)-definitely don't worry! :)

My 10 month old doesn't crawl either but my doctor told me not to worry because A LOT of babies never do.

My son is 9 months, nearly 10 and trying desperately to crawl but my great nephew is 16 months old and still not crawling. He bum shuffles, it's such a site to see. All babies develope when they r ready. There's no need to worry about it. Hey, make the most of it once he does start crawling you'll wish he wasn't. I remember that with my first son. There is such a fast transition from crawling to pulling themselves up on the furniture and then walking....you'll long for the days when you could put him down and walk out and back into the room knowing he would be in the same place and safe.

every child is different and will do it in their own sweet time., I wouldnt worry in the slightest, my first didnt crawl until nearly 12 months and so far my second (9 and half month) is not crawling, she will do it whenever there is no set age no matter what anyone tells you.

My 10 month old isn't crawling yet either-- and neither did my older son at this age. My pediatrician says the milestone is actually "mobility" by any means, whether proper crawling or not. So rolling, scooting, or whatever means they use to move on the floor is a signal that they are on track. Hope that helps!

my daughterr just turned 10 months and shes been taking steps for about a week . she started crawling at 6 or 7 months but my doctor told me that was early.

i wouldnt worry. if the doctors arent worried, than i dont think you should be either.

i know babies develope on their own schedule so if you have to ask your doctor but my only child is 10 months tomorrow and is walking and has been so she is early on everything

some kids never crawl and go right into walking, my daugther didn't crawl till she was around 10 mos old and then started walking around 12 - average crawling is around 9 mos - key being average time frame - some are earlier some are later - with my daugther my doctor kept saying don't worry, she's a happy content baby -
you can try putting one of his favorite toys ahead of him and see if he will try to reach for it - if so move it out of his reach - so he may make an attempt to crawl for it

lindsay-that is exactly what my son does...he loves standing. we play with him on the floor every night to wear him out before bed and he wants to stand. he loves the johnny jumper and the excer-saucer we have for him. i'll have to try to see if he takes some steps.

Hey there, my son will be 10 months on Monday and he is doing the same thing. I lay him on his stomach and he flips to his back. He also prefers to stand. Try getting your son to stand up with your support, like at the end of the couch or just hold his arms... he might be a walker before a crawler. I decided to give up on my son crawling... figured when he is ready he will do it. So I have been holding him and last week he started taking steps.... give it a shot :)

Nothing to worry about! My niece didnt start crawling untill she was 11 months.
