Wondering whats the best diet to loose weight after baby. Also how much did yo gain during your pregnancy & about how long does it take to if at all possible get back to your prepregnancy size/weight?

I gained about 35 pounds with my little girl... she was born August 25 of this year and I currently have about eight more pounds to lose before I'm back to pre-baby weight (although i think i'm going to keep going after those eight pounds, haha I wasn't terribly thrilled with my pre-baby weight). I work out on my elliptical machine which is a nice low-impact QUIET exercise (good for naptime). Also, breastfeeding is REALLY helping, and as my little girl gets bigger she's eating more, so my body is using more calories to keep up with her appetite!

i wont say how much i weigh becuse im so embarrissed!! but i put on 15kg with zac and was overweight when he was conceived as i waseating crap winter foods like mash potatoes and roasts and the weekly late night on a thursday macas didnt help.. i barely excersised during pregnancy but when zac was born he was rushed to pmh after 3days to have an operation on his bowels... i breast pumped, forced down boiled vegies, fruit, and yogurts for my milk but was so stressed and depressed i onli ate for him.... once getting home i ate nothing but the best for my milk and zac and would have celery and carrots n yogurts in the fridge ready to eat and just never allowed junk food in the cupboards... i started walking daily then moved to the NT.... once settled i have been power walking and jogging everyday and zac is almost 4months and im 1kg of my prepregnancy size and just need to keep it up...work on my muscles too.... we eat healthy spicy chicken salads, stir frys, curries, bbq food with salads and have cut back on rice portions... have no oil... or salad dressings. we use garlic and chilli to add flavour to our foods... and drink lots of water... need to cut out the beer tho.... lol hope all this helps... so far slowely but surely helping me xox

i weighed 125 130 when i got prego and when i had cruz i was 174 now im 143 and i havent done anything so i guess i need to do something to loose 20 more pounds

I put on 20kg so i thinks thats a lil ova 10pounds.......i found the best way to lose weight after havin bub is to breastfeed!! i lost all the weight i gained durin my pregnancy b4 both my girls hit 1 month. i've heard when u'r breastfeedin u should eat more calories.........it wont go to ur hips it'll go straight 2 ur tits!!! lol(sorry if that sounds a lil inappropriate).just dont goo ovaboard. breastfeeding aint just good for bubby its great for u aswell. it keeps bub really healthy n helps mum get back in shape to

I gained 50 lbs with my son, who was born on August 26th, and I have lost 40 lbs so far. I alternate running and walking on the treadmill for 2 - 3 miles 5 days a week. I have not started weight training yet, but plan on doing so next week.

Ho, hope its going ok regarding the weight loss! I picked up 23kg with my son and the sad thing is i was always very small, so 23kg was a big deal to me! I started to go to gym 3 times a week and drank lots of water and organic tea! Stay away from ANY sugary food and cutting out starch helps alot! I also eat dried fruit alot.... My son is now 3 months old and I only have about 2kg to lose to be back at my normal weight! Breastfeeding helps alot as well! Dont be too hard on yourself! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gained 19 lbs with baby and have lost 32 all together. I also have a 2 yr old and 7 yr old who keep me busy. I don't diet, I eat whatever when I'm hungry, maybe not enough sometimes. I love sweets though, and coffee with cream and sugar to keep me going. I think if you worry too much about it that causes more weight problems. Now the shape issue is different, I still really need to do some crunches to get the belly looking good again, but hey we've got about 8 months till summer comes around again so I'm procrastinating lol.

i gained 30 lbs. with my baby. i had lost all 30 of it before she was a month old. now i am just trying to lose what i had to lose before i got pregnant!

I gained zero pounds with the last one. The thing is, I lost 23 pounds during my pregnancy. Kinda backwards but I was like that with the second pregnancy too. But, with the first I gained 13 lbs and after having him I lost 28 lbs. The only thing I can suggest is plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, fiber and as little meat as possible. Drink plenty of water too. It helps. Along with a little excerise and daily walks, the weight will come off quickly.

You should join my community weight loss support after birth. My first pregnancy I gained 61 pounds and lost it all plus some in about 8 months. My second pregnancy ( twins) I gained 61 pound and have lost about 35 so far - the twins were born August 18th. wow they are 8 weeks old! My community, weight loss support after birth is a place for moms to post menus, recipes, workouts and vent to other moms. I lost all my weight watching what I eat and working out everyday!! I do weight training 3 days a week and cardio everyday. I try and drink lots of water and limit calories to 1500 a day. Good luck

I gained 27 pounds w/ my son. I was slightly over weight when I got pregnant to begin w/. I lost 2 1/2 pounds the week before I had him though. I did pretty good the first 4 weeks and lost all but 4 pounds of it. Then, unfortunately, regretfully, I gained some more!! I haven't started a diet. But my hubby eats a lot of sweets so I'm tryin not to let him tempt me!! Also, I thin I'm gonna start walkin w/ baby before it gets too cold!! I also have Wii Fit that I just love that I did before I got pregnant, think it's about time to pull that back out... Maybe do some Pilates w/ a friends of mine. I did Pilates about 2 years ago and it did wonders for me back then!! O I also was told that Drs want you back to pre pregnancy weight by the time baby is 6 months! (not too good w/ Christmas and Thanksgiving around the corner!)
