ok so the past 2 days my baby girl has had a stuffy nose. i feel so horriable because i can't seem to get all her boogies out so she can breath fully. it makes me so sad to hear her sniffing and coughing when she sniffs up a booger. please help! how do i get them out so she can breath?

I use the snotarator nasal aspirator and I found it more effective than any other aspirators.

yeah, if she doesn't have a fever & is still feeding well, then save yourself the time & money from going to the dr. when i took my daughter this past wed. the dr said since she's under 2 months they can't give medication anyways...so just wait it out :( hopefully she's feeling better!

I've had the same problem the past few days... my son has a stuffy nose when he lays down and the nasal aspirator does nothing to help... I've been using a humidifier and it helps once the air in the room is humid enough...

If she doesn't have a fever or fussiness or anything like that, she's probably fine. I thought my little one had a cold when I took her to her 2-week appointment, but her pediatrician said it's normal for babies to have stuffy noses a lot because their nasal passages are so small and they have no way to get rid of all the stuff in their noses except by sneezing. If she's not fussy or anything, it's probably nothing to worry about.

thank you! i was thinking about getting her a humidifier too. shes my first baby too my oldest is my step daughter. i've been debating taking her to the dr but all she has is a stuffy nose. no fever no loss of appetite no fussiness.. so i'm not sure.

just took my little girl to the peditrician tuesday because i gave her my cold. :( she's my first- and it's scary when they get sick because they're so little! use plain saline drops & the nasal aspirator...what REALLY helps is a humidifier. the cold mist helps my daughter sleep SO much better- and it helps loosen the congestion she has. good luck & hope she feels better soon!

I totally recommend the saline drops - they're called Little Noses, you just put a couple drops in each nostril and tilt her head back to let them kind of drain into the top part of her nose. She'll probably freak out when you do it, but it helps. I do it for my daughter when she's stuffy and she hates it but she usually sneezes out a few huge boogers afterward so I don't even have to use the nasal aspirator.

hi there! have you tried salinase nasal drops or others call it salt water drops? i understand the feeling of seeing your poor lil one having hard time to breath. you may want to see a pediatrician as well cause its hard to tell if its just a normal colds and coughs, my baby had stuffy nose and coughs in his early 2nd week, and when we get to his doctor, we were advised to be admitted and he was diagnosed of neonatal pneumonia and can only be treated with IV antibiotics, but im not really sure for a month old baby if they could be given over the counter remedies that early. You can really try using a humidifier at night or the salin drops treatment. hope she gets better very soon.
