I asked my doctor because my son is teething, he started teething at 2 months. My son weighs almost 15lbs now and he said I can give him the Infant's Tylenol, 0.4ml. My dentist also told me that he doesn't reccomend giving him the baby orajel just yet unless it's really bad.. get a teether from the store, put it in the freezer for a little while and let him chew on that. Or a wet washcloth helps too.

My daugerter is also teating, we use Night time Oragel and Teating rings, also taking a wet wash cloth and putting it in the frige or freazer for a little while works well too. They also have teating rings that vibrate, which work.

orajel is great stuff! moist clothes that dont lose the shag are good too when money is tight, but there are dozens of kinds of teethers u can buy from Wal-Mart for under 10 dollars and they all work pretty good. The ones that u can freeze as far as i know have been recalled, if there are any available then id assume they are good to use then. but i use the softer rubber with the small raised bumps on them. and as for chewing on his hands, just let him chew then. whatever u can do to help will probably help then. but orajel for sure does help the most. if ur three month old can hold things long enough he may be interested in holding teethers or small clean washrags to chew on. try things out. u ll find whats a best fit for ur baby.

use hylands teething tablets, and get him an amber teether. They both work very well.
