Ashyn Rayne was born on August 19th via c-section. She is my fourth and last baby, and I am soooo ready to get my body back into the shape I want it to be in for the rest of my life. No more stretching tummy & padding in the rear lol. Any of you out there getting ready to get back into shape? Feel free to add me on Facebook and we can keep each other accountable. I need to get my docs approval before doing anything too much (in two weeks I have that appt & hopefully will get clearance) but am walking & trying to clean up my eating in the meantime. you can search for me with my email embermadison@yahoo.com

Congratulations to all of you august mommies out there!

We could do that : ) (love your baby's name by the way!) I gained 44 pounds total and have lost 24, so that puts us at the same exact spot. My goal is to lose that last 20 plus another 10 - 15, haha again similiar goals. I was always 160 at 5'7 since high school. After my last pregnancy I was able to get to 145 and 140 is my ideal weight...I would be happy back at 145, but am aiming high for the 140 : ) I still haven't gotten the ok from my doc yet either. My appt is next Thurs, although I am going to NY for a conference tomorrow and part of the conference is a group workout. I keep going back and forth about whether I want to try and join in or just sit back a little longer. I will play it by ear.

me, me!!! ::Raising hand high in air:: I need some weight-loss buddies! Grayson was born Aug. 4th, and I've lost 20 of the 40 I gained in pregnancy. But, I actually have about 35 total that I would like to lose. I'm breastfeeding also, so it's hard to focus too much on my diet, but I need some exercise motivation. I actually used to run, but I've found that I am not quite ready for that kind of movement. The pelvis just isn't quite ready;). Should we start another group on here?

Thank you! Congrats on your little girl! It took me the better part of her 1st three months to get back to normal this time around. All four of my children were c-sections. The first was an emergency due to fetal distress. My 2nd daughter...15 hours after my water broke I was still only 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced and they weren't giving me much more time, I was tired and hurting, so we decided on the c-section. My doctor told me that I would be hard pressed to find a doctor in the state of MD to allow a VBAC after 2 c-sections so we went scheduled c-sections with number three and four. I'm just happy they all got here safely and are healthy. I was a little emotionally torn up about the first two c-sections but I have since come to terms with it. :-) Take it easy. Your body will bounce back soon enough. Good luck!

Hi Darby : ) Congratulations on your progress so far. It is definately a good idea to take it easy until you have weaned Alayna (love her name by the way!). I am not able to breastfeed, so I am able to start any time now. I have some discomfort still when gas passes through my digestive track...that tells me that perhaps things aren't healed completely in there yet. I still have a week and a half before my 6 week check up and am hoping all is well by then! Good luck with your goals!

My fourth and last baby, Alayna, also via c-section was born March 25th! I need to do the same thing! I have been 70 -80 pounds overweight for 11 years and I'm done with it! Good luck! I hope I can get some of this weight off soon. I've lost all but 5 of my pregnancy pounds. So, it's a start. I'm exclusively breastfeeding so I'm not doing a whole lot right now to lose the weight. Once I wean her in March/April, I plan on getting really serious! :-)
