Hi everybody, i wonder if anyone has any advice ? My daughter will be six in October, and still wears a nappy to bed each night. She is totally fine during the day and has been since she was 2. She was "dry" for a period of about 3 months but then our third child was born, and it started all over again. We have tried cutting out drinks after 4pm, waking her at around 10-11pm for a wee, but none of this works. We have had a few life changes, travelling the country for 6 months, moving interstate, having a new baby........... Is this it ? Will it happen in its own time ? We have thought about getting the bed wetting alarms but this girl is such a heavy sleeper, she would never wake to it anyway. We think her sleep might even be the contributing factor, once she's out, she's out, you could pull the house down around her and she wouldn't wake up. Any advice ? ideas ? Suggestions ? Thankyou.

Yep, boys.  Always teasing their sisters.  My 9 yr old does the same thing.  Drives me insane.  Must be the male hormone thing.

Yes, my other two are boys, 3yrs and 16 montths. The 3 yr old has been day and night trained for very close to a year, and has prob had 2/3 night accidents only in that time. That is why my 5yr old is hating it so much, her 3yr old bro teases her !! Calls her a baby, and that he's a big boy.

So glad there are other mums out there with the same problem.   I always get told boys are slower than girls.  I have an older son who is 9 and a 2 year old.  My 9 yr old still has the odd accident.  It's nice to know there's more mums out there with similiar problems

my daughter will be six on aug and we are in the same boat! we have just moved house and had a baby late last year. My husband wet the bed till he was 16 and i have read it does run in families. Julie is toilet trainned through the day from 2 1/2 but my 3 1/2 year old is so far from ready. It is driving me crazy. He is scared of the potty and toilet. I offer chocolate just for sitting on in and he still doesn't. I'm getting ready to take them to the docotors for help! so glad i'm not alone

Sure sounds pretty.  Not far from the beach.  I'm so far from the beach.  I haven't been to a proper beach for years.  I'll make it one day.  But I love the bush too.  I live on a farm so can be very peaceful.  I bet the move from Sydney was a change though.

Hi Tania,

I'm in Coonabarabran, NSW.  About half way between Dubbo and Tamworth.  No, no one does talk about it.  Glad I'm not the only one out there with the same problem.  Where abouts in QLD are you?

Hi Danielle,

It appears we aren't the only ones, My niece and a classmate of hers are in the same boat. Maybe it's more common than we think but no-one talks about it ? Anyway where are you ? You recently moved ? We are in QLD.

Hi there,  I thought I was the only person with this problem.  I have a daughter who will be 6 in a couple of weeks and still wears pull ups of a night.  I have tried everything too and just wish something would work.  I have done a similar thing as you for example moving and having a new baby.  Wish I could give you some suggestions and ideas.  Hopefully they will grow out of it soon.  I'm  getting really frustrated with it as well
