Its at the church opposite the club on Discovery Dr. It starts at 930 and goes for 2 hours and costs $3 per family. There was one at studio village on a thursday last year but it kinda died off, not sure if they are running it again this year.

Hi Elena!
Wow, alot of you mamas live at Pac Pines!
Nicole, there is one park that has a beautiful little swimming hole out in Numinbah Valley... fair way out, but you cross over a bridge, and its called 'Lyons Crossing'. Has a fantastic park also for the older kiddos!

Nicole, if you are willing to travel, there is a great little place in Burleigh Heads called '2BKids'... its basically an indoor play centre for the little kiddos.
HOWEVER... a 1st birthday party doesnt have to be huge as they generally dont remember it anyway! How about a park? You could head out into the Numinbah Valley and have a BBQ... *sigh* I love it out there!
Welcome Katrina! Like I said before, I am in Highland Park (Nerang area). I dont have too many Mama friends here either! Feel free to add me, im all for new friends :-)

Hi Everyone here, It's great to see that this post is very active, so thank you for that.
Also, just want to say to Jessica, you do live in a nice area of Nerang. My Mum also lives in Nerang as well and just loves it there. Nerang has come along way over the years. Mum and Dad moved up from Sydney about 20 years ago and decided to settle in Nerang and they were so glad that they did.
They have moved house about 3 times now, but have always stayed in Nerang.
Well Everyone here, Enjoy coming here and please Take Care!

LOL... My partner has 2 boys of his own, so with them here and Elsha, it's very rowdy so we are fairly sure there will be no babies for us! (His Ex just had another baby boy and my Ex's girlfriend is just about to pop out a little boy too- so LOTS of kiddos around for Elsha to beat up! Jokes!! She will be fine, I think, if we dont have any children together, as growing up with a half brother and 2 step brothers will be plenty, Im sure!! She will probably really learn to LOVE the silence here at our house with just the 3 of us! Haha...)
Highland Park is basically just the 'posh' part of Nerang. LOL... I laugh because we are hardley posh! I am living in my inheritence-to-be at the moment. It's a lovely house, very quiet... Our backyard is like a forest (in a good way) so we definitly dont feel like we are in the G.C suburbs!!

i bet it got hard at the end, i was running out of names after 5 lol. My 10 y/o was Zariah when she was born but people called her Azariah and i didnt like that, then she was Shelby, Janaya and Amber. My cousin ended up naming her Victoria (Tori) Janaya, i wish i hadve stuck with Janaya, or even Shelby, i dont really like Tori, but she was nearly 3 weeks old and still had no name so i think i kind of just agreed so i could actually call her something :). My husband picked Brody, i wouldve liked different spelling but he got in first, I named Noah and my husband named Cruz, which is growing on me, but i still call him CJ

Hey.
I wish i hadve thought to change the spelling, thats hepas cool how you spelt it, Brody has the traditional way, i prefer different names and spelling, unfortunately only 2 of my kids have unusual names, i guess thats what happens when i let other people name them lol.

Hi Nicole,
Yes very Busy!!!...and yes Izayah is a cool name...we spelt it Isaiah for the first week, but then changed it as noone could work out what it said or pronounce it,so i changed the spelling to how it is pronounced...

Wow, i thought i was busy with 5, you must definitely be forever doing something. I love the name Izayah, i always wanted to use it one of my boys but my husband wasnt a fan so my 8 year old has it as a middle name instead- i think its what he calls a compromise lol. Where abouts in Logan are you? My parents and brother and SIL live in boronia heights

5 kiddos eh?! WOW. You must be like Super Mum! I could never imagine having 5 kids... actually, I cant even imagine having more than just one right now! LOL
Do you work? Just asking because I know of a GREAT playgroup that is in Burleigh (its in a church but they are very friendly, and its free! They put on DVD's while the children have morning tea, and having jumping castles and LOTS of different toys for the kids and they provide us Mothers with morning tea and Lattes!). It hasnt started back yet, but I have been informed it will start back soon on a Thursday morning at 9.30am.
If you are interested, I can give you the details-it might help you meet some new friends (and me!) and give you abit of a break. :-)

I don't know, but ever since we found out we were pregnant we have been referring to it as he or him. No reason why, we never discussed that we thought it was a boy, we just both started saying that. Don't know if that means anything... and a lady in the supermarket yesterday asked if it was a boy cause she thought it was... looking at how I was carrying which is very low.

Well, we basically had NO idea what to call her. She was nameless for 2weeks and it just got to a point where I said to her father 'We need to decide on a name RIGHT NOW'... so, he thought it might be nice to name her after his Grandmother (Elsja). He is Dutch. I just automatically spelt it 'ELSHA' and got growled at from her Opa for spelling it wrong! OOPS... I think its pretty as it is anyway.
It means 'Little one'... and then I chose Leilani as her middle name which means 'Heavenly Flower'.
Ofcourse, now, her father and I are not together and it kinda sucks when people ask and I have to say "Ah, well her father chose it." ... I know, its a beautiful name though. LOL
Do you have any inkling as to what you might be having?? I was so sure that I was going to have a boy for the first 2months and then all of a sudden I just thought 'NOWAY... I am definitly having a girl!'

Your right - it can come out anytime it likes - the sooner the better...
* I wonder if it's listening...? *
And as you can probably guess by the 'IT' reference - we have no idea what we are having... right from the start we wanted it to be a surprise. Getting a little impatient now tho. The closer I get, the harder it sems to be not knowing!
Elsha is a lovely name and one I have never heard before. Does it have any particular origin or meaning to you?

Hey Jessica,
I'm not offiially a Gold Coast mama - I live in Brissie, but my mama lives in Labrador and I spend a lot of time there. So am kinda a part-time Gold Coast mama.
I'm also not yet the mama of a baby I can actually see - it's still hanging in there with 4 weeks to go. How old is your little one?
