Forgot to mention....Capitol Pediatric group is open M-F until 10 and they have weekend hours 8-5. You can't beat that. Someone is always on call for you so you don't have to go to the ER or Urgent Care. Great staff too!

If you haven't found one yet we use Dr. William Caldwell or Melody Cassels. Dr. Caldwell is our primary but if he is booked we use Dr. Cassels. Both of my kids love them and to me that speaks volumes. I'll give you the office phone and you can set up an appointment with them free of charge just to meet him or her. #512-454-0406. Goodluck!

We have been very happy with Treehouse Pediatrics, which is near RR Hospital off of 620. We see Dr. Travis and all of the doctors there are wonderful. Their triage/phone nurses are also fantastic! Our son is 19 months old and we have taken him there since birth.

Dr. Mara Tache' is great. She is at Austin Diagnostic. She has been my son's pediatrician since he was 6 yrs old, he is now 16. He is astmatic and has severe allergies, she has helped us get everything under control, and we have not had to go to the emergency room, in I don't know how long.

ARC is in fact a great group of Pediatricians. My son has seen Dr. Sharon Leong at 183/Braker. She only works AM but any of the Dr.'s there are competent to care for my son in a pinch! The after hours clinic is great & they will do their absolute best to get you in, even on during busy seasons, i.e. cold & flu season. I believe they may even have some Dr.'s south. They have my vote, any day of the year! They do keep the ill kids seperate from the well kids & plenty of activities to keep them occupied. It is also VERY CLEAN; the environment may be sterile but the Docs & nurses are great!

I'll 3rd or 4th (lost track) Capital Pediatric Group. I LOVE this practice. My DD sees Dr. Mani who is warm and wonderful. NO problems getting in for sick or last-minute scheduled well-exams. Nurses are warm, friendly, and prompt at returning phone calls with questions. After hours until 9 or 10 PM, as well as weekends at no extra charge. Can't beat it. I believe they have 7 or 8 pediatricians at the practice, and I have ALWAYS seen Dr. Mani when needed, with the exception of a later evening visit with a nurse practitioner that was also warm and caring.
I must also mention that the on-staff lactation consultant, Linda Hill, is AMAZING. She met with me countless times while I tried to breastfeed my daughter, and reassured me that I wasn't a failure as a mom when I just couldn't get it to work. I can't say enough great things about the practice!

Didn't mean to offend anyone but DH absolutely refused to go to ARC because of the environment. He can be a bit snooty but after looking into other pediatricians for our boys, we found SW Pediatrics &/ Bee Caves very nice with a less intimidating environment for little ones.

We're with ARC Southwest and see Mr. Crocker (a PA). We also really like Dr. Amy Alcorn and Dr. Heidi Busceme. I have never found ARC to be sterile or unfriendly. In fact, I grew up in the practice and my OB/GYN and FP are with ARC. Also, another plug for Dr. Llewelyn. He's a family friend and a wonderful doctor!

We've used ARC in the past but it comes across as very sterile & not very child friendly. We now use Dr. Patil at SW Pediatrics. We have been very pleased with her services & bedside manner. She and her entire staff are very easy to deal with & have been more than helpful with every visit.

Dr Glen Wood at Carousel Pediatrics is very good, I have been taking my daughter there since she was born. They are a big center with many locations but have many services available and are efficient since they have a large staff. I go to the Ed Bluestein (183) location. They also have a dentist at that location, and my daughter receives speech therapy at another nearby special services center.

Check out Dr. Lewelyn. He is off of James Casey right on the corner. I think that it's 4600 or something like that. He is in suite 150. He has a dry sense of humor, but he is a good doctor and loves children so much!

I love Dr. Sarah Wood. She is located just past the South Austin Hospital. She accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and is the main reason why I keep my husbands insurance and not my employers insurance. I'm an RN
and pretty particular about the medical care my kids receive. She is awesome.

Dr. Michael Ward with ARC South is wonderful! He knows how to establish a great rapport with the little ones and he does it instantaneously. He's a great communicator, he's very patient, and he listens extremely well. Both of our children (6 1/2 and 2 1/2) see him and they actually look forward to their visits to his office.

we go to Dr. Albert as well. She has been great helping us navigate the "normal" stuff & some difficult health issues as well. She is a great listener and takes time to understand what is going on with your child. She has great nurses as well. I have also been impressed with the other doctors in the practice as well.

Erin, I am not sure where you live, but we go to the Austin Regional Clinic. There are several around town. What we like about going there is that several of there locations are opened in the evening and on Saturday and Sundays. These after hours do not cost you more in copay then visiting them during the day. All the doctors in the clinic rotate working the "after hour" clinic times, so you may or may not see a doctor from your location, but they are all very good. It gives me piece of mind knowing that I have a place other than an emergency room to go to, if I just want to make sure my babies fever is nothing to worry about and it is 6pm or noon on a Sunday.

I have Dr Albert also and really like her....only problem is that she only works 3 days a week and has so many patients, I never see her for sick visits since she is usually booked. I only see her once or twice a year for check-ups. ADC is really good overall and I get in easily for sick visits. I also like that they have urgent care at night and evenings. The nurses are also very sweet and attentive.

We love Dr. Trester at Central Family Practices. The nurses there are also really helpful if you call in with questions. We also like that Dr. Trester is fine with delayed vacinations and there is no pressure.

We like Dr. Tache from ADC across from North Austin Medical. My ob/gyn takes her children there so that's why I decided to use her. I like her a lot. The others in the group are also good in case she was not avail (on weekend for instance when sick).

One of the nice things about Dr. Tarrant at Hill Country Pediatrics is that she has "sick" hours every morning until 11:30 so you don't need an appointment and you don't have sick and well kids in the same room.

I am very pleased with Dr. Tarrant at Hill Country Pediatrics on 2222. I've seen the other 2 doctors (Wells, and Bartlett) and like them all! They were recommended to me by a friend who is a pediatrician and his wife who works at Dell Childrens ER. Always able to squeeze me if needed and never a long wait!

I have been going to Northwest Pediatrics for 19 years and my kids still love going there. Dr Johnson has assembled and excellent group of physicians. The office is also friendly and very engaging no matter what age you are.

I would avoid Dr. Manuel Torres located off William Cannon Dr. While the doctors in his practice seem nice enough they really aren't very helpful when it comes to an emergency (they'll just send you to Dell's than try to fit you in). Also I've yet to actually see Dr. Torres in person after 5 office visits.

We have an amazing pediatrician. He just opened his new office in Bee Caves, but he's worth the drive. I'm not sure if he's accepting new patients but our family loves him. Dr. Jerome Hudson www.hudsonadolescent.com

We really like our pediatrician, Dr. Fasci. Her office has 5 doctors. www.swpedi.com I really like the nurses hotline. It is great to be able to call and leave a message with a non-emergency type question and get a response.

I like our pediatrician. We're on the crunchy side and delay vaccinations. Dr. Christine Eady has always been very helpful. She recently moved to a new office and joined a group, but it's not too bad to have to share her.
