Not pooping everyday... Normal??

I have a 5 month old son. He is breast fed with 1 maybe 2 bottles of formula a day. Four the past five days his poop has been weird. No poop day on, poop day two and three, no poor day four, I'm on day 5, so far no poop. I know breast fed babies can go a week and its normal but since I am mixing with formula I was wondering if that was still normal? I don't want to be missing something that could be causing him pain. Any answers will help. thank you

It's normal. I wouldn't worry unless when he does poop it's hard, then maybe he's constipated.

Thanks... I called my doctor yesterday. They said they go through growth spurts and the are just absorbing all the nutrients so there is nothing left to poop. :) Which is good. He hasn't been sleeping well the last few nights so I'm guessing that is it.

I think it is normal. I remember the agony of waiting a day or two for my daughter to poop when she was a baby - I feel your pain. Babies do tend to get more constipated with formula, so it could be that. If he is fussy and seems uncomfortable, you should contact your pediatrician. Good luck; this too will pass (pun intended LOL).
