My daughter is five and I'm not sure which shows are appropriate for her.

Curious George! It plays every day on PBS. My toddler loves it. My 4-year-old niece loves Scooby-Doo.

I think Spongebob is cute, but I don't like to let my son watch it too much because they have name-calling quite a bit. (He is 4) He loves superheros right now so I have to watch with him because I worry it is too violent. :) It is hard to find the right shows! I try to stay away from the TV as much as possible, but he loves it so we try to let him watch in moderation.

My daughter is alot younger, but she loves yo gabba gabba. I think that it teaches alot of stuff and good lessons like being nice to people, teeth, picking up trash, etc. Plus, it holds my 14 moth old's attention, so I bet it would hold hers as well!

There has been a lot of thoughtful TV programming for kids in recent years. Some of our favorites are Sesame Street, Max and Ruby, Viva Pinata!, Reading Rainbow, and Spongebob. There are some great classic movies that we watch too, like The Sound of Music and the Wizard of Oz.
