Hi,
I'm looking to go back on a pill for a few years, any recommendations? I had mood swings & weight gain on my previous one... (Before my two boys). Does anyone take yazmin?
Hope to hear your opinion.

I use Yazmin and it works great for me. Except it cost an arm and leg.

There was this other one my doc recommended which I can't remember the name. Estelle or Esther or something like that.

G'Day Amanda,

When I was on the pill last year, I used the cheap brand Norimin. When I first went on the pill some years ago, my GP tried everything but, unfortunately they didn't work. Until my GP prescribed Norimin. I took them regularly and they worked. I now have my tubes tied but I do recommend trying before you settle on any pill. That was how my GP found what worked for me...

I got the Mirena too and have mixed feelings. You can only get one done if you've had natural birth and I have had a c/s. My OB had to force it through the cervix which hurt a bit, but I survived. I still spot every now and then, but no big periods anymore.

The pill and I didn't mix well but i now have a Mirena IUD that I love! It's $20 and lasts 5 years. I've had it in for 2 1/2 years and havent had a period in nearly 2 years. LOVE IT. obviously it's not for everyone and your GP/ gynaecologist would be the best person to talk to

Hi Amanda, I was on Trifeme 21 before I had both of my daughters and that worked well for me. I didn't have any of the weight gain or mood swings that I have had with previous pills. Good luck finding the one that works for you =)
