Does homeschooling give better results in children with ASd?

My son aged 7 has high functioning ASD. He is making progress in all aspects except at school where he is still on the same level in literacy and almost the same in maths as last year January (eighteen months) I am considering home schooling. Would like to get opinions from others regarding this matter

I dont believe in homeschooling especially a child with Autsim .There best way through learning is at intervention programs or school .
