My pead was excited to find my night time 'fitter' they are taught to look out for it, but usually don't expect to find it. I think it's about 20% of autistic kids have epilepsy also don't quote me though. Finding the right meds and doses is a long road, but well worth it because it will at least reduce them for a while. Interestingly when Kobe started the seizure medication it allowed him to develop more gradually, I have had a really good end result with the medication, again after a long road though it can take years. My child also has abnormal brainwaves when he is not having seizures.
