I was told that birth control helps calm them down some, really struggling with finding the right one she has huge meltdowns when the three months are up and it is the week to take the placebo. Now we have her on them all the time but we have constant break through bleeding and one of her favorite things to do is swimming and ahe has not been able to do that this summer realy bummed any that can help please.

I used to have a client who had autism with a severe cycle. Her mom put her on Depo which worked great. The other one to try might be Mirena - it lasts up to five years I believe - look it up and see if this is what you would looking to do. Depo Prevara is a shot that happens once every three months...I have a son with autism and I am afraid of what puberty will bring. From a clinical side of it - maybe talk with your family doctor to see what the best course of action would be to take. Good Luck =)
