my son 3/12 avoids eye contact.his speech is ok .i read that kids with Aspereges avoid eye contact.i dont find any other symptoms other than it.he has some eye sught issues.according to doctor the part of brain related to eyes needs some more timeto develop.he had delayed milestones.can anyone help,is it just because of his eye sight that he avoids eye contact?or when i ask him to look at my face he avoids that,what could it gbe?

Google Autism - there are sites which have lists of signs of Autism/ Aspergers, then you could see if your son has any other symptoms.

If you feel that it could be Aspereges than go and have him tested by a specialist. Most of the time parents know their children better than doctors. We knew our daughter was autistic by the time she was 9 months old. I took her to the doctor and they looked at us like we were crazy and tried to tell us she was just delayed. We took her to see a specialist 2 months later and she was diagnosed. Trust your instinct. It doesn't hurt to have him tested. Good Luck!
