I noticed my son was "different" very early and I believed he may have had autism. I started him on the gluten caisen free diet before he was evaluated. He was still diagnosed but the changes that began to happen were amazing. I always figuered it wouldn't hurt to try it. My adive to any parents out there with a child of autism...try it. You will be amazed at the changes you will see. It is strict. You must follow it completly or it's not going to give you the results you want to see. I stand behind it 100%. My little Dylan will be 3 soon and still has a long way to go...but only by the grace of God we are moving in leaps and bounds!

My son has been on the diet for 3 years now and I agree 100% that it does help.

The cookbook that I bought is "The Kid-Friendly ADHD & Autism Cookbook" There are some pretty good cookie recipies in it--a favorite of my family! The changes that I have see with my daughter, who has Aspergers, is focus, ability to talk her feelings out with me, and her gas isn't as bad :) So far it has been a great improvement. When we have slipped up on the diet, we can tell. Her attitude is non-compliant.

What kind of changes have you seen? I have started that diet and trying to get more recipes for it. But haven't seen anything yet.
