My 3 month old daughter Emily's appetite has increased significantly over the last several weeks. She seems to be eating more & more, and at times doesn't seem satisfied by her formula. I've been gradually introducing rice cereal as well. My pediatrician told me that she should be taking in approximately 26 oz. of formula within a 24 hour period ( approximate weight X 2 oz= # of oz in a 24 hour period). However, she did not take in account that my daughter sleeps through the night, usually from 9pm-7am and naps periodically through the day as well! I've also noticed that my daughter is sucking on her hands/fingers more often. Is it possible to feed her TOO much? Could she be going through a growth spurt and need more to support this? She does not like pacifiers, at least the kind we have tried? I'm a new mom and worried about her gaining too much weight too quickly!!! Any thoughts or helpful hints, would be much appreciated!!!
