My 6-yr-old is absolutely gross. He won't wipe himself after #2 as he figures his underwear will do the job. He uses his saliva as an adhesive. He spits up stuff in weird places and wipes feces and nose excrement (boogers) on my walls. I Pine-sol, Clorox wipe, Lysol, Bleach, and launder most surfaces and fabrics in my house daily. This seems to be the bulk of my work on a daily basis. Any suggestions on how to curtail these icky behaviors. I've tried just about everything I can think of...

Your son isn't gross, it's just the behavior that is truly off-putting. It's soooo hard I know. Have you tried making him clean it up? One day everything he does that needs to be cleaned you take him to clean it, dry it, etc.? You show him how to clean it and he does it (often with your help). But stick to it and do it every time the whole day. Worked for me when I potty trained my son, who started off liking to go in his undies better than the toilet.
