My name is Ashley and I have four year old triplet boys, two of which were diagnosed with autism a little over two years ago; they weren't meeting those developmental milestones and they would spin anthing they could get their hands on! Austin is still non-verbal and really struggles with certain daily activities, transitions and being told "no" but he has also made a ton of progress. He also has sensory issues and recently started stripping his clothes off again when he's frustrated. Cole finally started talking last year and is doing great - his Developmental Pediatrician thinks his diagnosis is changing more towards Asperger's. Both boys only eat about four different things. They started receiving in home services from the state (Texas) two years ago, and last year they started in the Early Learning Education class at their elementary school. They attend everyday for four hours. OT and ST are also part of their schedule. We tried the gluten/cassein free diet last year but didn't see a change. I'm thinking about trying metal detoxification and supplements to see if there is an improvement. I am excited to find this group and share ideas and experiences. We need other parents to talk to who are going through the same thing!
