My son is 11 years old and has Aspergers. He is high functioning and is very interested in meeting some children "like him" If your son or daughter would like a pen pal - please let me know.

Thanks!

Dena and Erin,

My son is almost 11 (in March) he loves science, pokemon, making creatures, and video games. I think it would be great if I could get him to write a pen pal about the same age with some of the same interests. He had one a little while ago but I think their interests were too different. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of 6.

Marie - I tried emailing you but it wouldn't let me. My son is going to email back and forth with Corina's son. They are both 14 years old. My son is high functioning and loves friends and communicating with others. Would you be interested in having your son write? Just drop me a message!

Hi Debbie! I also have a son who is 15 and had asperger's, ADHD, and a writing output disorder but loves the computer and is high functioning. He would love to be a pen pal but not maybe so much through the mail system. For him he may be more interested being a pen pal through email or something. If this is something you are interested in checking out let me know!! Happy New Year to you and your family!!

Ok moms, I have a 9 year old with Aspergers, OCD and ADHD and I am lucky if I can get him to write anything! He hates the thought of putting pen to paper, he even qualified for an assistant at school to learn using the Haptic Learning System, which we love and he has gotten all B's, 1 A and a C, amazing difference, so my point is this, writing?? How and where do I sign up!?

Hi, Debbie! My name's Camil and I have an 11-year-old newly-diagnosed Aspie. His name is Walter. I'm really interested in him meeting people "like him", too!

Mine too, almost 11, PDDNOS. If your child likes pokemon, magic, fantasy, mythical creatures, computer games etc, then mine can talk for hours on the same channel lol.

I have a 14 year old step son with PDD-NOS - Aspergers. He is very social and would love to have some friends. I myself could use some friends with people who can identify with the struggles of having an aspergers child and how to help him and what works in your households. If you are interested in a friend, please let me know!

My son is 12 and had Aspergers and ADHD. He also wants very badly to meet other kids "like him". Where are you from? I know that my son would love to have a friend that understands him and the way he thinks. He is fortunate to have a best friend for the last 5 years, but he doesn't always understand why he does/says the things he does.

[deleted account]

hi debbie my son is 10 1/2 and I think this is a good idea. My son loves friends (that;s why he is high functioning) but if he doesn't have a friend over life is boring for him and he goes to bed lol. Anyways, a penpal would be great he also loves video games and has xbox live.

I have a daughter, also high functioning, 14 years old, she used to have a pen pal when she was in public school and liked it, I will ask her if she is interested.
