We've been in the same apartment for just over two years. So we've been able to keep a more comfortable routine at home. I'm a single mom & we don't live in the best building at the moment or area so I am very excited to say we finally got our transfer to the area I wanted when moving back to the city two & a half years ago. The problem now, is disrupting my son's bubble. Does anyone have any advice on how to keep this transition as smoothly as possible?
I've already taken him to go look at the townhouse & meet our new caretaker. Showing him which bedroom will be his, which will be mommy's & where his playroom & my office will be set up in the basement. We even made a big deal at finally having our own mailbox again. I've decided to stay in the preschool we are in now for the rest of the school year & will be bussing it from one area to the other twice a week to continue. But he's already having nightmares of losing our "home" again. I have the short month of Febuary to not only pack up his whole life but try to keep it as comfortable as possible for him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I would TRY if you can to gradually move things over. Maybe you can have him stay a night there and then come back home?
Then move a few more things, have him stay another night and go back home.
And so on and just keep upping the amount of times he stays the night at the new place until everything is moved over.
