My niece had the same problem when I took her in to raise and I didnt think anything of it.I took her in to her pediatrician for a regular check up and he said that she had baby acne & asked if she was having any gas or spit up and I said yes he said that its because of a disagrance to the formula she was on.So he put her on a different formula and the baby acne went away.I dont know if your baby is breastfed or formula fed but this is just what happened with my little one.

My daughter had acne from about 3weeks til about 8weeks. It was mostly from my hormones going thru my milk but then we realized the baby lotion we used was causing her to break out too. If it's just on baby's face it may just be acne but if it's all over the body I would check out other things. Like lotions, laundry detergents, anything that baby comes into contact with that could be causing it. If it's really bad I would def. see a dr.

My son had baby acne too. It started around 3-4 weeks and stopped around 8 weeks. His was on his face only. It's supposed to be a normal thing explained by the fact that the baby is effected by mothers hormones right before birth. The best thing would be to call the doctor and make sure its just acne and not an allergic reaction from something.

If its not clearing you should go to the doctor, b/c it can be a yeast infection, yeast infection can spread all over the body, i had a friend that her baby had it ALL OVER, head to toe.... so take the baby to get checked, just incase... i hope that i didn't scare you.

If it's little white dots - they are 'milk spots' and will go away naturally.
I am guessing that you may be breastfeeding bub, if so it can be your post-birth hormones passing through the milk. Don't worry - it too will pass. I have had 5 kids with this reaction.
HOWEVER, if you bottle feed your bub I would get him to the doctor straight away as it may be an allergic reaction to the formula.
