Anyone else have experience? We got the diagnosis in December for A TEENAGER!

That's more common than one would think. Aspergers, and really anything on the higher functioning end can be harder to detect. Combined with the fact that it's only been since about 1996 since was standardized as a diagnosis, a lot of people are still diagnosed far later on. Be forewarned however, that at the end of the year your teen will need to see a doctor about having them rolled into an ASD diagnosis as high functioning autism, due to the changes of the DSM.
